@@Ghostfacekillah1 It was on the CD. If any Vinyls of this album was made in 2004 then maybe but as far as I know, any Vinyls of this album you get nowadays will come with the current version of Kookies

@@21stCenturyGuy The OG 2004 double vinyl pressings of Mm….Food has this OG version aswell. All non OG,2004 1st pressing re-issues of this album have the alternative & far inferior version imo.

I remember back in November of 2004 I got this album for me and my girlfriend, and we absolutely loved this song, we both grew up with classic Sesame Street so hearing this was such a fun time! It’s sad to see that the newer copy’s don’t have this version, and that nobody knows about the best version, the intended version.

I see that Doom remembered his KMD roots by sampling Seseme Street. Shame we didn't get a cameo from Dr. Bert.

Some of those voices at the end are supposed to be the Fantastic 4 talking to eachother. Matter of fact the person that says "I'd hate to see that ugly mug of yours in MY history book!" Is Peter Parker.

I love he subverts expectations on many of his songs like great day and this one “matzos or cheez its gets sugar fits every time that he sees…” you’d think he would say “tits” to keep the rhyme scheme going and play into the theme of the song but then he hits you with “a nice pair” DOOM was such a genius

One day when I have kids I’m gonna play this song when we put cookies out for Santa.

The Thing’s line always makes me laugh, ya know that DOOM ain’t all bad, on the count of him I happened to have a good time. Between you and me, I kinda like being black. Lol

Have the Hip-Hop Hendrix 'Mm.. Food' downloaded on my old phone and was listening to it at work, this version of Kookies is on it and I've always thought it was normally part of it until I tried finding the beat and went insane one morning. He really was a villain hiding some pieces..

I’ve always liked this version more

i find it weird how they werent able to clear the sample for kookies, but they were able to for horehound (the instrumental version of the song)

Doom's work is ingenious. Unlike most in the mc business, he's an artist, not an entertainer. His corpus will survive like Miles Davis' and Beethoven's. Using poetry and prosody, often in a surrealist/modernist stream of consciousness style while simultaneously mocking the gangster nonsense is a refreshing trope. Nearly as refreshing as his admission that he doesn't, or didn't, when alive, listen to hip hop. He was into Coltrane and Jazz. Love this man's work, miss this man's new work, and anyone into the poetics of hip hop knows Doom is in the top tier of all who productively contributed. I didn't want to believe his death was real, but so it goes.

DOOM is like one of the few rappers i enjoy listening to. I've listened to this album several times, now it's my favorite rap album. His work will definitely be timeless. Just remember All CAPS when you spell the man name.

Yea I always heard the one on streaming services and thought it didn’t fit compared to all the other songs which are more ear pleasing with great beats

Muuuuch better than the one that's onnthe playlist & "full album" videos. This is how I remember it and gel better with the beats of the other tracks

This version is neat but I reaaally love the bass guitar and drums in the newer version.

Funny that this song had to be changed, but the Sesame Street sample on "Guinesses" from the very same album didn't cause any problems.

This version was never on any digital release. This version was only available int the 2004 CD Prints (some say there were vinyls produced during that time too but idk) of this album. When re-released DOOM re-recorded this track due to the Sesame Street samples not being cleared
