Whilst Gambit isn't as agile as spiderman, he is still known for being pretty flexible. They could have designed his armour as separate pieces like links (so shoulders to pecs are one peice then every set of abs are separate peices layered) to at least give him more range or have it removable for a more articulated one.

I think Spidey's supposed to be the most agile character in Marvel Comics. The only X-men who'd even approach his agility would be Nightcrawler & then perhaps Beast. I'd say Gambit would be #3, in terms of agility, so I agree his figs should be designed w/ "flexibility" in mind. Your suggestions make perfect sense.

@@-AaronBlack- Interesting. But the fig was already splitting at the sides, during this review. So, I think softer plastic might be worse. But I get where you were going w/ that suggestion though.

I hope we see someone customise Gambit to make him more articulated. Its the best looking gambit I've seen and I haven't seen one yet than has successfully done his armour in a way to make it articulated. Fingers crossed for Mafex version.

Totally agree. The armour is already kinda mechanical so a split at the middle would have been pretty seamless

This is an amazing looking figure, very excited for him.

I'm waiting for mine. tbh without the trenchcoat does look good still, that's a nice surprise

Great figure of my favourite X-Men character. His face looks like David Beckham 😂

I ended cancelled for the mafex version for better articulation but this is still an ok figure, shame on the torso.

You are correct! Every figure needs that screaming/grimacing head sculpt. Great review.

I love Gambit and I love this figure! I want to order a second one and display both of them differently.

Excellent review, man. This is probably my most anticipated Mezco this year. Such a badass Gambit! Just eagerly awaiting my preorder now.

The diaphragm joint is what would make or break wherever I get this, I can say I'm disappointed by it but the figure looks so good otherwise and the joint at the hip is good so I'm getting it

My boy Gumbo looks great! Will have to pick him up. Agreed with the face comment, an angry face with exposed teeth or yelling would've been great. The inclusion of both faces look too similar. For nitpicky, I'm used to the toon Gambit X-Men 90s so I would love to see his armor tailer more to that especially the bottom part...and no X belt. But as an alternative, he looks great!

Can’t wait to get mine, looks really good.

Excellent review as always! Great job with the poses at the end showing us what we CAN do, despite the armor restriction. Nicely done, DD!

Thanks dude! Much appreciated. Even tho the torso articulation is restricted it’s still a really nice figure. I thought to myself recently that it’s shitty the torso joint is restricted, but looking back at all the Mezco One:12’s I’ve bought their torso joints don’t really even give you too much movement to begin with lol

I am tempted to get this figure. Gambit has been a favorite ever since I started reading x-men comics in the 90s.

Looks awesome, great review. I remember when the only gambit figure had coat that was made out a brown store plastic bag. Nice figure please do a comparison with the future mafex release.

Gambit's my fav male X-man, so I'm glad he's getting better & better figs, as time passes. I'm sure whenever the X-men come to the MCU him & Emma Frost (my fav X-man all around) will be extremely popular (if they're done right). And of course they'll get more & better figs, if they're well received. The MCU milked as many Cap & Ironman figs as they could, so I know they'll do the same w/ the X-men. While Logan's the most popular X-man, I just hope they give the other X-men more figs & shine.

marvel fan 007 I’ve preordered a large number of figures from them, and they dont charge my card until the item arrives to them and is shipped, in which I dont have to wait very long once that happens. Thats odd that people are having a tough time with them

Great review, just one question, can you fit the mezco head on the legends gambit (just a thought since its juch a nice headsculpt and it comes with 2 heads, the one youre not using could be used on the legends to make it look better if it fits well and is not too big)

I thought that left eye on the smirking face looked wonky lmao

If I can get this fig at a discount I’ll probably get it; looks great but otherwise I’m just gonna wait for the mafex one. That lack of ab crunch killed it for me.

Yet, Mezco’s price-point of 💯 is somewhat extensive for a figure with finite mobility. I love your expressive vocabulary

Do you own a diabolik? I swapped its head with gambit....it works nicely with jacket too. Gives him that burgler look. The same costume he has in Mr and Mrs Mrs x issue 11 and x-treme x men.

7:34 Wow those face sculpts are beautifully painted for a small figure. For me Mezco is better with face sculpts compared to SHF or Mafex and he looks great with or without the coat.

Investigate that section more before you glue, I've heard it's got a tab like punisher vest for removal

It you keep fully bending it into a point and constantly doing it fully, back and forth, then yea it’s gonna break, but if you just bend it giving it a rounded curve, then the wire will be fine 👍

Gambit has the complete opposite of child rearing hips. Plus he has knocked knees...

Looks amazing. But its a shame the lack of torso articulation...

It’s still a great figure even tho the torso is restricted. If you think about it Mezco torso joint doesn’t really even give you that much movement in the first place lol

Why are all the 1/12 Mezco so thicc.. them thickness ruined their body proportions. Except their Spider-Mans they look great.
