KGBeast came out in 1988. Bane came out in 1993.

When it comes to elbows, I think people get too hung up on the type of joint rather than the effectiveness. There are some single joints out there that work just as well or better than most double joints, it just depends on the execution. I'm glad some companies have gotten better at optimizing their single joints lately because I honestly prefer them when done well.
