Meyers Manx 1960s Dune Buggies
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Bruce Meyers, California surfer and boatbuilder, melded old Volkswagen Beetle parts with flamboyantly curved fiberglass bodies to create the iconic Meyers Manx dune buggy. The buggies were extremely popular for off-road and racing use and were a common sight of the surfing culture of the 1960s. They were so popular that Elvis Presley drove a bright yellow one in the film, “Live a Little, Love a Little.” This rare, home movie style footage features shots of Bruce Meyers piloting one of his creations, as well showing the assembly process, including creating the fiberglass bodies, design, and rows of those brightly colored completed bodies.

I've always wanted one of these!
They show the team lifting off the Beetle body and bolting down the Manx body. But there’s no hint of them cutting the chassis in half and removing nearly a foot of material before welding back together
