They peaked in '06 back when FMF was a top league im the world. Also, good squad with veterans and youth in 2010 World Cup but left out their best players, including star GK Ochoa.

Plus, in all of their group stage games, mexico created the most chances, their problem is just finishing their chances.

The Mexican federation is too corrupt. The federation panel is focused on the money that each player ( well known) can attribute to their pocket. They don’t want the youth overtaking them. How can you explain that the U-teams are exceptional but not the main team? Take the U.S national team for example. They don’t depend on the same players, they rely on the youth to push out the older players that really don’t want to play their hearts out. In the last 8 years, Mexico has been washed out plain and simple.

Im not gonna lie. I grew up watching Mexico with my dad. This is not the mexico that makes any country take them seriously. I want the president of ligamx gone, Televisa Univision gone. Anyone with business just looking for money in ligamx, ascenso, liga tdp, etc...gone. Have the leagues and national teams run by people who genuinely want the sport to thrive. I would love a mexico reboot just like Germany did after crashing out of the world cup 2010. But at the end of the day, con dinero baile el pero. México dominated all 3 games with time of possession and shots taken and played great defense with 2 shutouts and 1 goal allowed which was a penalty kick and if they would’ve converted thier penalty kick vs Venezuela they would’ve advanced as the 2nd place team their only problem and it’s a big one is that they couldn’t convert on all their golden opportunities cause they just kept coming in all the games and they’re just a little twit away from correcting this .

Jaime Lozano was hired last summer after Mexico got destroyed by their rivals 3-0 😂. Ever since then Mexico are still underwhelming and trash. Mainly cause they lack identity. No one from Mexico stepped up. Its understandable why we got grouped considering our two crucial players Malagon and Alvarez got injured. Also the rebuild or the generation change really was a lie. Most of Mexico's players are in their mid 20s playing in a league that cares about money especially their board and federation. Firing coaches yet nothing changes. Team declines more and more each year ☠️.
