Very nicely painted. I’ll look forward to seeing more. I’m trying to resist starting yet another project and this isn’t helping. 😄

Nicely done. I'm so tempted to do sharp practice in 15mm for Rev war and French and Indian.

A nice start 👍. Also not a conflict I have heard much about. Was Uncle Sam not involved in this one?

There is a fair bit in English on the Mexican Revolution as it is of interest to Americans rather than the British (for instance 'The Wind That Swept Mexico' - worth getting for the photographs alone and 'Villa and Zapata' by Frank McGlynn). Peter Pig have filled a gap for 15mm figures but there are Shellhole Scenics for 20mm and Outpost and Gringo 40's for 28mm. If you haven't seen it 'The Storm That Swept Mexico' is a fantastic documentary which can be viewed on KZread, such as here kzread.info/dash/bejne/ooqLxcmIk9nNhpM.html

I'd have to disagree Ralph. Apart from those you've mentioned, the Osprey and the books by Jan sens, there's not a lot out there. The Wind that Swept Mexico isn't readily available here. It is on Kindle but over £20, and I couldn't find a UK stockist. Also, the American involvement was pretty minimal. They had an interest politically, but aside from 2 intrusions militarily, they remained out of the war. Their attempt to capture Pancho Villa is probably their best know intervention, but that didn't end well. As for Gringos, they are prettyimited to a few Villistas, some Federal Police and 2 American figures, one dof which is Pershing. The Outpost sold off their range to Badger Games in the states so not easily available here, and I can't find the range on their website. So all in all, there's little out there for those wanting to fight battles in the Mexican Revolution. The conflict saw the largest land battles on the American continent outside of the US Civil War and lasted for 10 years. But for an enthusiast in the UK its not been an easy conflict to get into. With Peter Pigs comprehensive range of figured and set of rules that's changed.

@@billygoatwargaming5643 I meant more that there is much greater interest in Mexican history and the Revolution in particular in the US than there is here in the UK and that therefore there is a lot of material in English rather than Spanish that isn't so apparent to an English enthusiast. (Haven't read it myself but there is also Mexico Insurgent by John Reed who witnessed the events before travelling to Russia and writing Ten Days That Shook the World)I think the Peter Pig range is splendid and a welcome addition to what is available, but 15mm is not the only scale to choose from. I hadn't realised that Outpost had sold their range off - I purchased heaps ten years ago and am still working my way through that, supplemented by Gringo which I admit is limited. I forgot to mention Old Glory who do a range called Pershing's Invasion of Mexico which can be obtained through the UK stockist. Also there is Brigade games in the US - I have Pancho Villa in a model T Ford from them. The Shellhole Scenics range in 20mm is very good. It was released in 2016 but I get the impression it never really took off. I bought a lot of their flags at Vapnartak that year and he was a bit miffed that I didn't want his figures as well. They have lost their profile a bit since then. As well as the documentary I mentioned, more inspiration can be obtained from 'And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself" which has some stirring battle scenes. Look forward to your future videos on this subject and seeing how the rules work. My original intention was to use Black Powder but 'Contemptible Little Armies' is more do able and there are army lists in one of the supplements.

@@RalphAstley yes is suspect here's more interest due to geography as much as anything. The Shell Hole Scenics range is more comprehensive than the Gringos range and looks to cover most of the Federalistas and Rebel types. The lack of pictures of the figures and flags is disappointing though. I'd be interest in the flags, even if it was to reduce them in size to fit 15mm, wihh no pictures or detail of how many you get, I'm not interested in taking a punt.

@@billygoatwargaming5643 He got quiet stroppy with me when I said I intended to magnify the flags to use for 28mm. Even though it was for my own use he claimed I was breaching copyright. Somewhere around Jan 2016 there was a review of the range in one of the mags - probably Wargames, Soldiers and Strategists. They are nice figures but 20mm is a bit niche.
