@@iamwooth1729 I've moved to Yucatán. So far, I'm loving it, no plans of going back at all. Safe state, very warm people and cheap cost of living. Great infrastructure, Walmart, Home Depot, all it's missing is a Whole Foods ;)

The view is spectacular and so is the city. In Guadalajara I rent a three bed, two bath for 200 usd. unfurn. plus utilities. ...not touristy, but close to downtown. In city center I would pay double. peace

Yes, this apartment was already furnished. Guanajuato is relatively touristy. Not like Puerto Vallarta. Mostly Mexican tourists visit. It's starting to get on the map a bit with gringos too though. You can certainly find apartments for much cheaper than this one in other parts of Mexico though. Thanks for watching! Un saludo. ☺️ -Jim

That's amazing! It's gorgeous and cheap. My 518 sf apt. here is cheap for my area, but it's $600/mth + about $150 for utilities/wifi.

I pay 800 per month plus utilities same size duplex as your apt. I also live in a "cheap" area 😂

Me encanta su departamento! Yo también prefiero AirBnB porque me siento más cómodo, como si estoy viviendo allá. Paso más o menos 12-14 noches cada mes en hoteles, en mi trabajo, y no quiero sentir que todavía estoy en la chamba cuando voy de vacaciones!

Airbnb is the way to go (in most countries). I rather pay more through Airbnb and have all incidentals included, than having to worry about more bills. I'm in an Airbnb casita right now in Mexico City for a year😀. It has high speed internet and cable/Apple TV that I don't even watch. Worth every penny. Thank you for this video.

I had some hellish experiences with Air BnB. From being double booked and left hanging. To renting from a domestic violence victim who then rented out her blood soaked mattress and never cleaned the apartment. I discovered the bloody mattress after striping the bed for the next guest, so she would have to wash the sheets. So I'm done with Air BnB. Sent corporate pics of the filthy place with the blood soaked mattress and got zero response from them.

Great apartment! Just came from Jerry Brown Travels. We're in Cancun and don't have any utilities included but our rent is about the same. We are doing a long-term lease which may be why, since it makes more sense for them to include utilities in a shorter term lease. But we are still able to live for a 3rd of the price of what we were spending in Denver, Colorado!

Thank you and welcome! Yeah, $450/mo isn't the cheapest apartment available in Guanajuato, but considering everything is included and it's close to downtown we really like it. That's great! That is great! Guanajuato is on our list of cities to visit someday. We've been here a little over 2 months now. We're working on our temporary residency and then hope to travel around after that.

This is a very cute little place. Lots of room for 1 or 2 people. Not at all like what I've been seeing for rent in Huatulco. The studio apartments there seem to be much more "rustic" and barren.

Used your link for the Airbnb, found a nice place to stay!! :) Going to San Jose Del Cabo in a few months. Any suggestions for that area would be greatly appreciated as far as food, excursions, and beaches! Gracias!

I was just in Cabo San Lucas. I would recommend the ATV tours. I went thru a company called Cactus tours in Migriño, bcs. I spent like $60-80 dollars for the ATV tour and they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel(depending on your location). You spend like two hours riding ATVs thru mountains, dunes and pacific beaches(my favorite). Travel hack they say that you have to leave your phone or camera behind in a storage locker but id recommend you bring it along with you to take pictures by the beach otherwise you will end up having to purchase the pictures that the company photographers take of you along the way.

I am staying at puerto Morelos beach side for two months now. The rent is about 550 dollars. It had two bedrooms and tow baths. In winter, the owner charge 1500 pesos per day.

Cool! Is it $550/mo? We used to live by the beach in Playa del Carmen for about $150/mo in a studio apartment. It's still possible to find affordable places to rent if you know where to look. ¡Un saludo! -Jim

When you showed the view out to the town the building you are in looked newer. What part of town were you in and are there bigger but cheaper places on the outskirts. What about the old town area? Is it more expensive? I would get claustrophobic in your place. Oh, how about parking there?

Thanks for watching! Our first price was just what was listed on Airbnb, so that should be the same for everyone. Speaking Spanish definitely helps for negotiating though. I know the gringo tax is real in many cases. Much more to come soon! 😊 -Jim

I live in a ghetto bedroom duplex an hour west of St. Louis Missouri. I pay $475 for just the roof over my head and nothing else is included. And that is a GREAT deal for around here as apartments are all charging $550 or more for ghetto one bedroom apartments with nothing included. The next town over starts at $700 for a 1 bedroom trailer or $800 for their worst one bedroom apartments.

If you are a foreigner who wants to visit Mexico but work online for a company not based in Mexico, then you don't need a work permit. KZread pays us the same no matter where we are in the world. I just started watching your videos! Soy de Colima tambien! Pero vivi en Guanajuato del 2014 al 2016. No se si ya hayan ido a Delica Mitsu, si no, les recomiendo que vayan. Es un pequeno restaurancito japones en un callejon entre Plaza San Fernando y Plaza San Roque. Ademas del Mezcalito para probar mezcales de sabores, Habibiti por Plaza Cervantes donde pueden comer los falafel mas deliciosos que he probado en Mexico :P Y para algo un poco mas freson, Mestizo en la calle Posito. Snif, extrano tanto Guanjuato! Y en el ultimo anho, por lo que me han contado, ha mejorado un poco en cuanto a opciones de supermercados y comprar algunas cosas basicas que antes era muy dificil encontrar, tenias que ir hasta Leon o Irapuato para comprar una simple lampara de escritorio, jajajaja. Enjoy Guanajuato and be prepare to experience Cervantino as a local :P
