When you really sit down and watch these videos I’ve always thought of this as Mew being protective of Gulf. Simply because Mew has been in the industry longer he knows how Gulf will be sexualized so instead of them doing that to Gulf who is quite literally a baby, he takes the brunt of it and gently passes it off as possessiveness when he’s being protective.

Don't you dare to approch Gulf ... especially when Mew's around 😂

He's protective for sure and radiates "think all that you want to he's mine anyways" kinda energy

@@ems5454 art started saying mew tried to kiss him i think or made him uncomfortable? I'm not sure but all i know is mew had a crush on art and and art went on live in instagram and told everyone about it, how mew approaches him and stuff like that and then he started crying. I'm not really sure if mew sexually harassed him or just made him uncomfortable but anyway I'm staying neutral on this case cuz both of them are in wrong, mew making art uncomfortable and art outted mew's sexuality to the public. Later on, it became very awkward between them and they eventually separated, i also think mew was hurt by art at how he told everyone on live about this issue when he could have talked privately with him. There is a video on KZread that explains it much better, if you could watch it just type mew and art. And the fans for tharntype kept saying how they are scared mew would fall in love with gulf like he did with art.

This might be quite unnecessary (???) but I feel like Gulf came into Mew’s life at the perfect time, basically saving him and helped him recover from what happened with Art (for anyone who doesn’t know, it seems like Mew caught feelings for Art during filming and kissed Art one night when Art was at Mew’s house and Art basically outed him to the whole world saying how uncomfortable he was and basically said Mew sexually harassed him, but I feel like it was just a case of miscommunication because Art said he kissed back cuz he felt bad??). Gulf in real life seems like a ray of sunshine, definitely very genuine and almost gives off that innocent vibe, like something very pure and hasn’t been tainted by the toxic side of the entertainment industry. For someone who’s going through a dark time, Gulf’s personality can easily draw that person to him because he’s a breath of fresh air, a light at the end of the tunnel. Mew seems like someone who could get hurt very easily because he carries his heart on his sleeves and always cared for Gulf during filming, even caring about the littlest detail (stayed with Gulf and checked on him during workshop because Gulf’s eyes went red due to a shrimp allergy), sometimes it almost feels like he can’t differentiate between fan service and his real feelings/actions, and maybe he knows exactly when he’s really being jealous and possessive but he knows that he can hide behind that fan service excuse. He’s also a very very strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, posting on IG a lot about his knowledge and support.

thank you so much for this explanation! I just learned of Art and Mew in this video's comment section and one of the comments said that Mew sexually harrased Art and kinda portrayed Mew in a bad light. I was so confused, but this clears everything up and I whole heartidly agree!!

I think Mew is truly jealous/possessive, because when Art outed him on live, he did say that Mew is a possessive/controlling person who’d get jealous of Art’s male friends

I don't know them but when I watch series(tharntype), it was like my heart was attached to them. I like how mew care for gulf. They look cute together. BTW Gulf is so cute and has a lovely smile

After all of the videos I’ve seen I’m having a hard time believing that it was fan service. All of mew's and gulf's fan must be smart to check the hint from both of them 😂 mew already said if couple, he & his couple will wearing same outfit/stuff (i guess).. and they did. Also there's also a code sunflower & the sun .. from of them.. mew is the sun and gulf is sunflower. Both really did announce their relationship but with different way. Also mew and gulf did lowkey because of the past scandal and NCT problem .. he did it because he didn't want gulf get a problem with that. Also there's problem with their fandom becuse someone talk trash about mew using gulf / gulf using mew for the popularity. I think they both complete each other because.. gulf is new in this ent industry.. so mew taking care of him also fallnin love with him for the same time and healed from his heartbreak. Gulf already fall in love with mew since first meet in tharntype cast .. and he feel comfortable with how mew treat him.. thats it.. and some of fandom already know they wear the same ring .. and some of their friend also said its already engaged.
