To be fair, both mega evolutions for MewTwo are basically DBZ references. You can’t deny that Y looks like Majin Buu and X looks even more like Freiza than base. Hell, considering the lore, MewTwo is basically Cell.

While very Sonic.. I think of Silver more so. Young but full of heart, ready to protect the helpless, but also take down a necessary evil even if that means killing(well he almost killed Shadowtwo by removing the crystal.. like how Silver though Sonic was the downfall to the future and was sent back into the past to kill Sonic.) Either way very good thoughts there, because I was thinking the same watching and then came across your comment.

You know, I expected Pigment to grab the crystal thing from inside of the floor, I've read/seen enough stories. What I didn't expect was how creepy she made her enterance. Those red eyes and the shadow around her was the most dramatic way she could have entered. Especially as a cliffhanger.

Bro Pigment with red eyes is genuinely freaky I love it- plus, ghost type is strong against psychic!

That scream was amazing when Huey Mega evolved, huge respect to the voice actor, that was like a DBZ transformation, so cool.

Despite Huey’s best efforts, his overconfidence ultimately led to Shadow Mewtwo dawning his own Mega form, leading to Huey’s defeat. All hope seems lost until Pigment shows up at the last second with the Synergy Stone in tow. Will she be able to stop her father before it’s too late? And how much longer can Shadow Mewtwo continue to put up resistance before exhausting his Gaia energy? Only time will tell… This was definitely a fun watch. Great work to everyone involved in the project. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

I think the glowing eyes was “Mean Look” so now Mewtwo can’t run away. Smart move.

I had just finished watching the latest episode, and seeing Pigment with those red eyes, really spooked me. the one thing that I want to see is that Mewtwo survives all of this and, more or less, gets back to his normal life, or as normal as he could be, although Mewtwo might suffer from PTSD if he doesn't get the help that he might need.

As I understand it, the original Mewtwo personality is subjugated by the shadow crystal, rendering him technically unconscious through it all. He probably won’t remember most of this.

Probably one of the best fanfics out there.

The battle between Huey and Mewtwo was beyond epic, but the moment Pig's hand lifted from the ground I knew $h!t's about to get real. Her showing up gives me the same vibes as when I hear Sephiroth's theme. Or walking into a harmless looking home and suddenly Cynthia wants to battle.

Omg, the "You missed" from Heuy got me in stitches 😂 Edit: Pigment looks pissed 😵

First thing we see is Huey eating dirt 😂 Huey looks really cool in the x form. I think the y form would benefit him more, but we’re not ripping the stone out of Newt again 😅

I think you may have gotten the forms mixed up lol. That indeed was the X form that Huey Mega Evolved into. Only Newtwo has the Y mega form that we know of so far.

Love Pig’s entrance. She’s my favorite character. Good job Huey. Great job team everyone sounded great, I loved Huey’s super saiyan scream.

Watching since the beginning I will say these series of comics and the love put into them by not only the artist but OVAS bringing them to life has been beyond words impressive. Yet I would like to bring up a point no one else in the comments from what I have seen has pointed out yet. (Spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched the full vid). When pig enters into the fight the shadows that grow on the ground and when pig finally begins to rise up from the ground showing her ghostly nature reminded me heavily of when Giratina would manifest itself. The correlation may just be in my mind, yet I can't help but feel this was done on purpose as in platinum the same ghost legendary shows up to stop cirus from messing up the world so one could possibly see a link with pig wanting to stop this corrupted form of her father.

Hi there, TC-96, OVAS team and everyone who's been following Mew & Mewtwo! It's been a year since I myself have discovered this wonderful comic drama series, however, I am not leaving this comment here just to commemorate or anything. I would like to thank TC-96 for creating the fan fiction masterpiece that is Mew & Mewtwo, not just for entertaining me but quite literally saving my soul from the pit of despair I've got myself in. This comic gave me inspiration to write my own Pokemon novel, and what was at first a merely glorified fanfic ended up as effective therapy. It cured my PTSD I struggled with ever since my cat died in my arms, and when I finished it, I could finally smile again. Thank you, guys, if it wasn't for you, I would've been miserable to this very day. I owe you a lot, my friends.

As someone who reads the comics before your dubs come out, I ADORE how James chose to use the Hollow Knight theme for Pigment's entrance! It's so fitting for both Mewtwo in his current state and Pigment herself being an anomaly of a Mewtwo since she's part-Ghost type. Hopefully she'll have better luck in getting to her Da than Huey did trying to get to his Uncle Face.

Huey has been taken down! Despite having gained a massive power boost so did Shadow Mewtwo! Now with all looking lost Pigment has risen! Can she be the worlds last hope? Or is the earth done for? Next time on Pokeball Z.

That was amazing! Huey kicked his butt for a while and the mega evolution was so cool! I really really need to know what happens next!

Me too bruh tbh. My mind is willing, but the body must rest. Besides, I kinda read these and I didn't expect it to end, when Pigment showed up. I was expecting it to end, when Newtwo woke up. But it's kinda cool! These series were a bit of a fever dream, when I came to the creation of Pigment, thinking it was a Mewtwo Creation flashback and the Shadow Mewtwo Arc started, eh? I am still coping, that Mewtwo will come back eventually, but it's gonna be something else, ain't it? And after this whole arc ends and some more, I am planning to take a break, because I look like I have an unhealthy obsession, when trying to look, if it ends nicely. I wanted to gently hug everyone, but I don't think it will ever come true and I went insane. Anyway, sorry for the long comment.

Pigment knocked shadowtwo across mountains in the past. Hes in for it now. And pig honestly scared me rising up like that but at the same rime she looks like a savage. Her eyes also looked like godzilla ultima

The Sealed Vessel theme at the end was a good music choice. It fits thematically

This episode hands down made Huey and Pig my favorite characters (I already loved them before, but it was amplified) and I honestly I can't wait for the next episode

I absolutely love the music in this episode. The anime hero track that starts up when Huey holds back the beam, the evil villian track that emphasizes the utter contempt corrupter Mewtwo has for Huey, the uplifting yet creepy track that shows Pigment is ready to fight while acknowledging their Ghost-type. It is just SO GOOD!

Much appreciate to both OVAS and TC-96 for their dedication and how everything has just been coming along amazingly thank you for that end of the year treat

Huey has reached his full potential

Myyyyyy i have bean here since episode 1 and holy this has changed so much- it started as a cute trio (mew mewtwo and ash) every day life and here we are with lore trown at our faces!

As much as I want this to come out sooner I enjoy the wait and having this kinda epic quality. Thanks so much for doing this!

My favorite parts of mew and mewtwo #57: 1. The flashback in the beginning of uncleface training Huey to becoming a better battler. 2. MEGA HUEY!🤩 3. MEGA SHADOWTWO!😨 4. Pig making a badass entrance. I’m worried about Huey because he collapsed, he’s going to be ok though..right?😥

Huey after everything is resolved:“I wonder what‘s going to happen to me in the future.“ Professor Oak, putting a hand on Huey‘s shoulder: „You peaked.“

So I just went and binged this entire series because I realized I had no idea what was going on. Well…I’m really glad that even though the story has kinda gone off the rails (in a good way) the author hasn’t stopped responding to comments. I’ve seen that happen before and it makes me happy that we get the best of both worlds
