Twenty years ago, I discovered this song in an internet cafe near my home in Mexico City when I was 15. At 16, my family and I moved to Los Angeles, leaving behind my friends. Despite my imperfect English, I adapted to the new country. When I was 19, the band I loved performed at The Fonda Theatre in L.A., and I couldn't resist seeing them. It was an incredible experience, and it brought tears to my eyes. Around that time, I fell in love for the first time, but it ended when I turned 21. I then followed the band to Oslo, Norway, and was moved by the warm and welcoming people there. The song had touched many souls, including mine, and taught me the value of kindness. In the past, I had been unkind to others, afraid of forming attachments I might lose. Since then, I got married and divorced, realizing that life doesn't always go as planned. This song always resonates with me. I'm 35 now and if you ever feel alone, remember that there are people out there for you, ready to support you if you reach out.

I'm a similar age as you, was young when this sone came out. Hope when we are 80 years old, we can confidently say, I would love to live my life over, would love to fall in love with my wife all over again, I can say I would not change anything. What a wonderful life.

Como tú, he hecho buenos recuerdos con esta banda, incluso algunos muy dolorosos con un amor que nunca se convirtió en relación y fueron 9 años, aún la amo a pesar que tiene desde 2012 que ya no la veo, no sé de ella. Esta banda mew es algo especial, no se parece a ninguna cosa, mew es un lugar al que podemos ir para siempre, volar y deja ir todo por un momento, simplemene sentir y recordar. También deseo que cuando tengamos 80 años podamos decir, no hubiera querido cambiar nada, pero no todas las historias pueden ser felices, existen historias que terminan mal como la mía. Y yo deseo que al menos ustedes si sean felices para siempre.

@@GalovaT the person that introduced me to this band is now married and grown. We were young, we went to see Mew in concert together, and although life has drifted us apart..I hope they are still listening, as somewhere I am too. Thanks for the memories. 💕

I think that's why they close their live shows with it...at least they did both times I've seen them play.

I saw them play this live and it really did take my breath away! Jonas did so well, especially with the high notes at the end.

I remember 20 years ago I randomly went to the music store and accidentally saw the album Half the World is Watching Me, I ask for the sample to the storekeeper and this is the first track I heard, I fall in love with this song right away and bought the CD, and I became a fans of Mew,

I love Mew. Discovered them back in 2005 and I still love them today as much as I did back then.

This song was the first one by Mew I listened to, I cried so much that time and I still cry every single time I listen to it. Jonas's innocent voice, like a child who trust everyone and discover that nothing is like that, and the song grows. This song is above perfect. Definetely, one of my favorite bands!

Long time ago before Christ, earth had a diplomatic relationship with human race in the other galaxies. Some of us are a mixture of cross-marriages between other planetary humans and earth humans. Aliens are not as seen on TV or information on the internet. They don’t look like strange creatures on movies. They are almost the same as us, having a regular body shape like us.

One of the best songs ever written and performed. Mew is an overrated band, but I guess I like it that way. Keeps them mysterious and fascinating. I can live the last minutes of my life listening to this song. Definitely one of my favorite bands.

Listening the uncut version of this song really comforting 8 minute 53 second of genius music

maybe its the emotional fragility expressed at the beginning of the track, and then this hyper sensitivity to experiences ( both good and bad) when the track climaxes, but this is THE song that makes me think of Knausgaard's 'Dancing in the Dark'.

+Amanda Dutra I got the chance to saw Mew performed on their latest tour, I was first row in front of the stage, I saw Jonas from very up close! I thought I was dreaming, all I could think of was I want to make love to him while he sings softly in my ear.
