Bigger issue was the commentator comparing it to Jeter, as if Jeter ever had that kind of range or would have thrown out a fast runner. It's weird how some people try to act like the dude somehow had a trademark on the jumping throw when it had been going on long before his time.

Neutral fan here. If you go frame by frame on the replay at 7:23 (the , and . buttons on a keyboard do this if you're not on mobile) you can see Alonso's glove begin to react to the impact of the ball JUST before the runner touches the bag. It doesn't get any closer than this but he's out

@@Whitsoxrule1 Its extremely close. If you consider it out once the ball touch the glove then yes, the runner is out. But if you consider it out once the ball is secured in the glove, the runner is safe so idk

I slowed down the slow motion replay and dude was safe. How did they overturn that? He’s safe. Not a fan of either team but he’s safe. There’s no way u call him safe and then decide to overturn that. Umpires just cannot get out of their own way. It’s not the right call

@@jackoff1826 even if the Guardians make the playoffs as the division winner or wild card, they probably would not last long in the playoffs because they lost Ace P Justin Bieber due to season ending injury (TJ Surgery) and they don't hit enough Team HRs.

The Guards starting pitching continues to improve with good quality starts, especially with veteran SP Ben Lively pitching almost 7 innings; the only bad pitch was that HR ball to Mets C Nido. Kind of an ugly win for Cleveland with less than five runs scored. Oh well, a win is a win. Go Guardians!

Welcome back to the Progressive Field to Francisco Lindor.

That ump killed Lindor's highlight reel with the call. There should be an unwritten rule that says that if the play was defensively great and close you should call it out! Later you can figure out if the call is overturned or not. In that way you don't ruin the highlight reel.

The Mets are playing like absolutely the worst team in baseball.. they blew it by some miserable bass running.. questionable defense.. no clutch hitting at all.. your season could be over. Quickly very soon.

Also their blackout restrictions are asinine. I pay for MLB tv so I can watch CLE specifically and whoever I feel like. But because I'm in the market of another team whenever Cleveland plays that team the game is blacked out. Ridiculous

I can almost guarantee it isn't one person. Most other leagues just have straight footage, while these videos cut in multiple angles, replays, use TV and radio audio, there's a lot going on, and it's well out together. As someone who edits video for a living, it's kind of amazing they can actually get them out relatively quickly given how much they cut in. They could get faster highlights, but they wouldn't be nearly as high quality. Be patient.
