@@calibvr the Nemesis space ship is estimated 2.5 miles long and 1.25 miles high. considering Trypticon is Nemesis they would have to be somewhere in same size in order to minimize any scale forming stupidity. so in order for Metroplex to be able to brawl with Trypticon, he would have to be somewhere in similar size range. also I would assume Fortress Maximus to be pretty much same size.

This was my first time seeing Metroplex as well and boy, I thought Omega Supreme and Trypticon were the only two Titan transformers. But this guy is a massive walking unit. I was just glad he turned out to be an Autobot.

The reveal of Metroplex was probably my favorite part of the game, Prime making his way through the innards of the city as it transforms around him, passages opening and closing as if to direct him toward...... something, At this point you know something big is about to happen, your not sure what but you have an idea.... but there's no way they'd put him in the game....... Right? And as you walk into the light, seeing a lever in the strangest of places *Optimus Prime* I ask you.. No, I order you.... Help us, In this dire time of need Seeing the city begin to transform i knew who Prime had awoken but still i squee'd like a little kid as Metroplex transformed from city mode to robot mode and his Autobot icon lit up Metroplex heeds the call of the last Prime..... All i could say was "Oh shit Decepticons....... you are all royally fucked now!!!" We need more games like this, The single player was pretty lengthy as well as fun and it didn't feel like it was tacked on to the multiplayer (which was also really good) as an afterthought unlike some other shooters i could name *cough*CoD*cough*, The graphics were good and so was the story, Getting Peter Cullen to voice Optimus Prime with Fred Tatasciore voicing Megatron and the original VA of Grimlock returning And to top it all of that fantastic remix of Stan Bush's The Touch over the ending credits

To let everyone know. The Matrix is like a river, and every autobot is like a molecule and you need many molecules to make up a single droplet. You can detect the droplet but barely a individual entity that make the droplet have its shape. For Optimus to actually be able to feel Metroplex in the Matrix should give you a idea of just how beyond all in the powerscales Metroplex is compared to either Autobot or Decepticon. It is as if you can actually feel the needle in the haystack, very deliberatly and pluck its presence out by sheer awareness. Except Metroplex is not a needle in a haystack but a droplet in a vast ocean. To feel him awaken in the Matrix would be as if a light went on in a dark room was switched on without no one ever knowing it even was there. What is even more impressive is that even when still dormant, barely active, Metroplex could manipulate his environment and pick out Optimus as a molecule in the vast river that is the Matrix and guide Optimus to him. Optimus did not order him to stand, He Summoned Optimus to let him stand. To awaken a force that is not only able to find you, but to let you feel him when everything around you is exactly the same is a act of extraordinary power and will. it is as if mother nature willed herself to battle and summoned every molecule, every droplet of its oceans to crash itself unto you. A force against which you simply have no defence. Imagine if you are a autobot or decepticon. A molecule in a vast river or ocean. And the ocean in which you swim has simply willed itself against you. Can you imagine the hopelessness you feel, the sheer insurmountable odds you face, and how wrong you must have been to have this happen to you. Now that Ocean like you turns from a home, a bridge, a shelter into a giant elder, a warrior who is feared and revered. Structures that shelterd you become cannons in which you fit a ten-thousand fold over, fists bigger then a hundred thousand of you put together, and in that fist it holds a Prime who is allready bigger and mighter then almost all of you one on one and defers to that Prime and will do whatever it takes to see another sun rise over your world. That power, That fear, that hope. That. Is. Metroplex.

This is a whole 'nother level of saying "Robots in disguise." I always viewed Metroplex the way you just described. An Archaic guardian or relic from a bygone era, barely noticeable in it's humble size of its soul, and yet will follow the lead of the last Prime. He surrenders himself to whoever he puts his faith into. Despite being cthulu-level of power, he's the exact opposite towards caring for beings greatly smaller than him. Those 'cons are gonna wish they stayed in stasis today.

I remember reading the comics as a kid when Autobot City on earth was invaded by the Quintessons and when all was lost Hot Rod (might have been Rodimus Prime) triggers what they though was a self destruct sequence. It wasn't, he was waking up a dormant Metroplex (who slumbered in the heart of Autobot City). Metroplex went on to swat the invading force away like flies.

Optimus Prime and Metroplex "did not meet" in G1, so it is chilling and thrilling that "what if" was addressed or rectified. In a world where size matters, "Metroplex heeds the call of the last Prime" is an inspiring reminder we can order a behemoth and titan because we have earned it, more so entrusted. This scenario leveled up "If we are trusted in small things, then also in big things" catchphrase another notch -- literally, figuratively, and in Cybertron standards.

Just look at the awesome, the way the guns pop out into the screen and push the camera back, the strength of the fist clench, the foot crushing the tank. The epic in this scene is more than whatever michael bay's inferior brain can come up with

All the times I've replayed this game, im just now noticing that Metroplex calls out "Prime" when he closes the door so Optimus can awaken him. God I miss this game

Gotta say I loved how they changed up Metroplex and created the idea of Titans in general. It’s as if they didn’t think that giant transforming robots and giant transforming robots that combine into an even bigger giant robot was enough, and then they make even gianter giant robots that also happen to be ancient, unknowable beings.

I always get the chills when i see and hear this!

Being an old fan of the original series, I admit that this is one of the most moving and well made of the Transformers

Tiny detail that I didn’t pick up till a year ago is that after Prime says he can sense Metroplex and as the door is opening you can hear a faint ‘here’ it’s so cool!

Decepticon POV: You have Autobot leadership corned and surrounded, then the fortress you're sieging stands up and starts obliterating you.

With the term 'epic' being thrown at just about anything these days, it's refreshing to have something that actually is EPIC; the music, animation, music, and script all harmonize magnificently to present a character's revealing that only Unicron's transformation topped it (all in my opinion of course). I've never even played this game and I'm wowed by this scene.

Right in my Childhood! Ah, the memories! Why can't they make a films series for this instead of continuing Bayformers?!

Bruce Man Dark of the Moon was the last nail in the coffin for me on the Bayformers films. Not even Peter Cullen & Leonard Nimoy's talent could save that piece of shit. I didn't even bother watching Age of Extinction, but I hear it sucked so much that it could be a prostitute. CinemeSins did a 2-parter for it & Nostalgia Critic tore it a new one on Bum Reviews. The TMNT film was.... Uh.... It had it's ups & downs, but like anything Michael Bay's involved in, the downs outnumber the ups. The Turtles themselves were portrayed well, their designs were not that bad, but their faces were.... kinda off. Leo looked fine, but the others looked off. Mikey however looked hideous! Megan Fox was terrible. The Shredder looked like a fucking Bayformer. And the great villainous plan was clearly ripped off from The Amazing Spider-Man. The best part of the entire film was the elevator scene. That was definitive Ninja Turtles!

+Star Kaizer I am going to college to be a screenwriter, and I have thought of doing a CGI animated Transformers series with the same tone as this game. Albeit, my series focuses more on the Aerialbots, because it was my dream to be a pilot.

This game came out in 2012 and the graphics still look amazing and still hold up really well

That line with that voice is definitely one of the most badass thing in the history of time!

Easily my favorite character of FoC, everything he did was simply awesome.

I feel like it would have been more powerful a line if Optimus said "order" first then "ask". Just seems more in character to call upon those who would stand then to demand it like Megatron would.

it's such an incredible scene despite all the hate and love that these games got this one section still remains 1 of the most popular transformers clips of all time only overshadowed by clips from the live action I really hope we see Metroplex soon in the transformers universe so we can see him head primed call once again :D Till all are one I supose

I don't think its ever really explicitly explained in the original cartoon from what I can remember, but probably case of 'Go big or go home' :) But I guess to edit my original post, they all had their uses, Omega Supreme transformed into a Rocket to transport autobots around, Trypticon well he was just there to fuck shit up, but if theres one thing they all had in common was being a Guardian of sorts for their respective faction.

I had some time to read up tonight. You're right, they are like guardians. At least, Omega Supreme is. He was made during the Quintessons rule and was a "dark guardian" who during the golden age, became a regular "guardian" and was the only one able to transform. Metro and Trypt, were something else. Haven't gotten to them yet.

The older transformers were generally much bigger. As energon shortages became more extreme, transformers were made smaller. Beast wars is an example of this as all the transformers are about the size of large mammals or even smaller (cheetor).

monkeybubbles That one I knew. He and Unicron go way back. He was able to beat Unicron into a coma sleep after he beat him I think. He then transformed into Cybertron to hibernate to stick around incase Unicron decided to tear shit up again.
