It's crazy to see this now that we finally have Metroid Dread, and realize how much MercurySteam has done for Metroid to this date. This game and Dread are both just beautiful entries for their respective console. I really hope Nintendo entrust them with future Metroid Games, because they sure know how to exploit the beauty of this saga and they haven't failed to show us how much they love it, just like we do :)

Playing Dread before this, made me really appreciate this game more. I had played AM2R before this, and was on that bandwagon at the time of this game’s release. I almost skipped this version, and boy I’m glad I didn’t. I can honestly say I enjoyed this more than AM2R. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don't get your hopes up. There are red flags going up that Metroid as a whole is on its last legs.

It's insane how you can extract order out of chaos. Going through those glitched scenarios knowing exactly where to land must be hard!

Great run! I have good memories of playing the original Metroid 2 on my GameBoy back in the day, this remake looks absolutely amazing.

I wanna see this guy speedrunning Metroid Dread so badly lol

The Dread speed runs are bout to be beautiful!

I never played this game for long. Maybe 2 hours in total and I finished fusion 2 times. I think I might pick this up again and finally finish it. Great speedrun by the way!

The most interesting thing in this speedrun, is that he only made it with 1 energy tanks

​@@jonahboris6681 the mose I play this game the more I realize is just Metroid Fusion with a different story and 3d graphics. In fusion Wide Beam is also more powerful than Plasma Beam.

The speedrun really dislikes the robot boss. This was very entertaining to watch, i'm currently playing this game, very close to beating it for the second time at %100, without using counter and i have done half the time of my previous run, nice... i wonder, does this game have faster load times on New 3DS? I have a feeling that my old 3DS is very slow... and another thing, are the clips only for the Japanese version? I doubt it, but i can't seem to be able to do them.

sad i cant find any TAS of this game, i want to see what kind of crazy shit you can do in this game.

I know two things you can do now. You can legitimately without using glitches skip both the morph ball jump and the Space Jump aswell. And beat the game. But what kinda sequence breaks would be possible with TAS? Maybe an instant no clip from Area 2 to the Queen?

Inter lude Late reply but no; since this game takes place right before Super, it means that after the fight, Ridley regenerated and removed the remains of his armor before going to steal the Baby Metroid. This explains why Ridley is completely organic in the next game.

Yeah, Nintendo threw that in at the end as reference to Fusion (as it was the absence of the Metroids that allowed the X to thrive). Plus, there were two amiibos released along with this game, one of Samus and one of the baby Metroid, the latter of which would allow you to play Fusion mode, in which you have the Fusion Suit and take four times the damage that you would in Normal mode.
