Metroid Prime vs Halo Combat Evolved - Comparison

The legendary showdown of gamecube and xbox return for this sided by side comparison. These are two of the best games in their genre's, hands down and I can't recommend them enough. A lot of care was put into making this comparison and I hope everyone gets a lot of enjoyment from it.. Which do you think was best? Comment below I'd love to know.

Metroid has better art design. But i dont think that has anything to do with power Metroid has much smaller areas and is meant to give a sense of claustrofobia, it takes that from the 'Alien' franchise. Halo is more like 'Star Troopers' or 'Stargate'. Also the lore of Metroid seem to be more similar to Alien as it goes back to ancient biological engineering as is shown with 'Promotheus'. Only thing similar are their outfits.
thanks for this. Halo looked better but ran at 30fps, Metroid made some sacrifices for the smooth 60 but still looked great. Two masterpieces and very different games, what a time to have these release back to back

You're welcome! it was very fun making this.. I'd have to agree with you too. Both were top tier but Halo had some things like bump mapping and some pretty nice reflections for the time. Prime had a lot of "extra" effects to add to immersion, both had great textures for back then..stay tuned for what i have coming to follow this up. :)

Sacrifices!? Metroid Prime looks like the next generation after Halo's graphics.
Metroid eats Halo for breakfast.
Metroid = Awsome, Halo = Lamo
Metroid wins because the capability of having your gun not technically centered in the middle of the screen in my opinion!

@@Deliveredmean42 I used the wii version because I preferred it's camera control for this comparison, but you could use either one as their graphics are the same.

@@Emerald-Bearer WII -version has inferior water effects and some lighting not as good, but it's widescreen.

@@M1XART That's why I captured water physics on GC later in the video and yea widescreen on there is nice for sure
Both games are very bad but Halo is just sooo damn terrible.
