Unfortunately she cannot sing anymore :'( "As for updates on Erutan, my chest voice is completely gone. It breaks and quavers uncontrollably and this does not seem to be changing. Doctor's opinions are that I have undergone a small change in the apparatus that controls my vocal cords due to aging. It is not large enough to affect my talking voice much, but is enough to ruin my regular singing voice. There is no cure because it isn't technically a medical issue. There is nothing they can do. My head voice/classical voice is blessedly unaffected - however I am afraid to start using it in covers because I will sound - completely - different. Not to mention it is very weak, whiny and untrained as I have almost never used it. I am struggling with this. While I am figuring all this out I will be uploading instrumentals to The Menagerie. There is nothing wrong with my fingers :) See you there!"

I'll start by saying this: Metroid's lore is HIGHLY unappreciated and it deserves SOOOOOO much more respect. Opinions aside, the lore of Samus Aran herself is thee most tragic of all Nintendo tales, and it should be more accounted for. I literally just searched for almost 2 hours for Metroid songs and covers with lyrics, and aside from your rendition, the only other song I could find was Zircon's. It's artists like you that truly make art in multiple forms reach their true potential. I'm REALLY inspired by this, and you've created a spark in me. The Chozo would be proud, seriously. Thank you.

I came from the future to say Metroid 5 was finally released, and it’s a masterpiece. It got this amazing franchise more popular than ever!

I must confess, I wasn't previously familiar with the credits theme from Metroid Prime and after watching this, I naturally went to listen to the original - probably what a lot of others did too! I'm totally in shock. How you managed to turn the original piece into ...into this. It was brilliant in its own right, but when you say it was a challenge, I have no doubts about that at all. It's inspiring that you really know who you are as an artist to the point you can basically take a song like the original and translate it so beautifully into something so 'Erutan'. That's not just talent, Kate... it really is a kind of magic. Thank you for creating and sharing your work with us! ^u^;

There was a fair amount of listenable music in the maelstrom of the 60s, & some even had shimmering beauty & wonder & all. But This. But this. I have been gifted with pure Beauty, again & again. I have learned to weep in release & healing & joy. Your music has been the largest part of that. What ya'll have done so much, so many times has slain me to my knees & undone me. Never have I seen more beautiful Dance than your wonderful Avian -- warrior? -- danced in this video. Never. I've seen, rarely, as good. What a beautiful, powerful, graceful Person she is. One thousand years ago just after I returned from the War, I studied dance with many graceful & talented women, & a few men. Began to Heal. Studied Northern Yang Style Tai Ch'i Chuan. Began to Heal. But it was not yet that season. It was the Season of War. But that's all over. What I want is to know how that I can purchase every ringing drop of music & video in your ouevre. Did I spell that right? it is truly amazing how you can turn a simple song from the end of a game, into a song describing a whole race, putting in references from games in the franchise. You have gained yourself another subscriber. :)

Kate my goodness, this is magical!! Your voice sounds really pure and lovely, and I'm just blown away by how you layered the vocal harmonies. The harp is gorgeous, and I love the video itself, too--The night shots were really creative (I don't know if it's lights or the reflection of water, but the way it's shining on you is neat), and I love the different nature/plant shots you guys worked in as well :) What camera/lights did you use? I would certainly not have guessed that you and your husband were new to this haha!

To me your voice sounds great, I couldn't tell there was anything 'wrong' with it but I hope your doctor can help you and you get better soon.

Thanks so much! We spent about two weeks on the video and had a lot of failed shooting days due to us not knowing the correct camera settings for various things xD Ah! It was okay for most of the recording, but I started experiencing pain and vocal fatigue in the days after - even when just singing a little - and it sounds very strained at the moment. Hoping its just laryngitis due to allergies and nothing else ^w^;

Kate I've been following you for years now, and I remember when you were the first in my opinion to make it big on making your own covers of songs. If people don't have nice things to say because your videos aren't "flashy" can get over them selves. You have real talent and are more than that, you stay true to who you are. I have always looked up to you and idolized you. With all the new "game cover girls" who are coming out you are still my all time favorite! Because its not all about your beauty and looks it's about the music and how powerful of the emotions you can make people feel. So please keep making music and your beautiful covers and stay true to who you are! Because you are Amazing!!! :)

I have literally been listening to this piece for hours and I still am sitting here in wonder.

FlameGarnet But of course we would love to have moving shots and things like that! ^0^ That would be wonderful! Unfortunately those sorts of shots take a lot of equipment that we don't have or is very expensive. Right now when its just the two of us and no budget, this is the best we can produce. Hopefully one day though!

Kate, I'm a telecommunications (video production) major at one of the top schools in the country for tcom . If you ever have any questions about cameras or just general filming stuffs, ask, and I'll help :3 And if I don't know, I've got four professors who probably do.

Aw, thanks so much, that makes me really happy! The health problems are mainly my vocal cords being unhappy/swollen and causing issues like nodes and sores. It makes singing painful and sometimes just not possible, We're looking into the reasons so that I can get back to singing and recording more regularly! :)
