Series S was done so dirty, it really needs more modes, like performance mode, quality mode, balanced mode, or for performance mode should be no ray tracing and higher res, like the xbox one x.

I agree and disagree at the same time...the game should have at least a 1440p 30fps mode (i don't think 1440p60fps without RT is possible because their enhanced engine for New Gen version has RT built in), but the game definitely wasn't done dirty on Series S...it's really gorgeous, Ray Tracing 60fps mode with dynamic 1080p on a $299 console is impressive

Xbox SS is a very interesting console given it's limited power consumption. And it's small form factor. It is perhaps the best console for someone who wants an affordable and versatile console. It can also emulate popular retro consoles in the dev mode!

Wanted the Series X. Unfortunately it’s out of stock everywhere I looked here in Canada. Felt like we’d never get a restock. Saw the Series S in stock on the Microsoft store and decided why the hell not. Pretty happy with it so far. Fast load times, games look and run much better especially compared to my OG Xbox One I was using before. My one complaint is the storage on the internal SSD is way too small and the 1TB expansion card for it is way overpriced. ($299 plus tax here!) And I still need to upgrade my display to something with 4K. (I know I won’t get true 4K with the SS. But, 1440p is still better then 1080p. I need a new TV anyways lol)

If you rig it up to a 4k TV it will upscale it anyway and you probably wouldn't know the difference. You'll always get some know it all who says you can tell weather its true 4k or upscale but you would have to have sharp eyes and you'd have to have it running side by side with a series x.

Buy an external HDD. It’s relatively fast. Buying an official xbox expansion card is not worth it at all. I purchased an external 2TB HDD, and I don’t see any significant difference other than it’s a HDD, and that it only cost me $70us. Probably 90ish over there. Unless you upgrade the internal storage there is no necessity to purchase a SDD let alone an external one.

I bought a Series S and Series X for my two sons and they are awesome. I play the Series S more because its hooked up to a gaming monitor and it is great looking. For the price you can't go wrong.

4:28, the One X is definitely better! Just look at the wires on top of the church! RayTracing eats too much ram on the Series X, gotta cut textures and other visual details to save enough ram for RT. A PC needs 16gb system ram and 12gb GPU Vram for 28gb total ram vs Series X with just 16gb total ram.

Series S and Series X need a without RT mode for higher resolution.

I mean ray tracing usually halves the fps on systems. I honestly have no idea how they even got it to run with 60fps at all.

I wish I had the resolution option on Series X. Like "Hellbalde: Senua Sacrifice" for example. I know, Ray Tracing and the resolution is fine on Series X, but...

This is 60 FPS and RT on SX, this is just 30 FPS on one x

imo this game graphics like textures and material surface wasnt made thinking on RayTracing, they added it later as a gimmick for the RTX cards but makes some textures look really bad like the characters skin and dead vegetation, imo they look better on xbox one x.

The annoying thing is everyone’s misunderstanding of “Ray Tracing” (real-time lighting). It’s simply a sugar coated term from Microsoft to give NVIDIA a marketing edge with RTX cards. Ray Tracing isn’t a issue for new games because developers are using Engines that are fresh code and programmed from the ground up to utilize AMDs RDNA technology. Unreal Engine 5 is an example. Metro Exodus is under an old Engine programmed using older APIs that by default favor NVIDIA.

I liked the series s for about 4 months, than switched on a series x and gived the series s to my parents for hbo max and netflix, it is good, but it aint really next gen. Not compared to series x and ps5, i tried to lie myself i will buy every game digital, but after spending 700 pounds on digital games, i realized im better with the series x and my old cd,s

O intervalo que você vê é o mínimo e o máximo. Parece ficar principalmente em torno de 800-900P. Mas parece que, a partir de muitos relatórios, quase nunca chega a 1080P.

If you can’t wait, PS5 has the ability to insert a M.2 NVME for a much cheaper storage upgrade. Series X can use bing points to keep Gamepass free vs PlayStation’s constantly increasing price just to play online. Of course PC has free online and cheaper Gen3 NVME storage upgrade options vs PS5 7400mbps Gen4 requirement, toss a used RTX 2060 12gb in a used Full Size Desktop with an i5 and a 600w power supply and you’ll have a better time than on either console.

@@tomaszkebecki7349 Ugh why does YT always auto-delete my comment any time I mention anything about PC? Current Gen doesn’t have enough ram for RayTracing, wait for PS5 Pro. Series X to use bing points for Gamepass or PS5 for cheap NVME storage upgrade if you can’t wait. The main reason to get Series X is backwards compatibility with Xbox Original, 360, and One, just toss in a disc and play it! Something like 90% compatibility for original and 360 games.

Series s version is very disappointing. The resolution drops are even worse than the one s. Horrible optimization.

@@drummer7557 Because all games are optimized for the last gen. Actually they optimize them, like ac odyssey got optimzed, ac origins will be optimized in 1-2 months too, so all games.

Сериес С для фул хд за глаза. Да метро конечно на нем определенно в "мыле" но абсолютно нормально для меня. Я лично не пожалел что купил сериес с. За 300-350 уе. Да при наличии гигабитного интернете. Проблем в удалении/скачке нет вообще. Шикарная консоль от Майков. А если настанет момент покупать 4к телек, вот тогда и задумаюсь о замене на Х. Пока от нее только самые положительные эмоции. Кайф!!!

То чувство когда местами Series S выдаёт картинку не так чёткую, как One S

It's 60fps with full Ray traced lighting. I'm surprised the series S even runs it at all. Yes the image is a little soft at times but it looks great on my small 1440p monitor.

Как и Series X в сравнении с One X. Смотри на 4:30, а на 6:12 вообще новое поколение отдыхает по качеству картинки - теней нет на траве и деревья и пр. окружение выглядит слишком светлым и картинка выглядит плоской... кошмар какой-то.

Why there is no 4k 60 mode on X without RT. On One X it's 4k. And on SX is blurry mess with DRS..

Потому что на OneX нативные 4к, в то время как на SX разрешение динамическое, дабы вытянуть в 60 fps рэй трейсинг. Тоже это заметил.

one s has a better resolution than series s! i know one s it doesn't support ray tracing yes , but 500p on series s is bad!

I'll stick with the One X, an external ssd and the higher resolution it has. I mean 512p to get 60fps on the series s (not steady) on this game? lol No thanks, i'll take 4k 30 anyday over that blurry mess. It's like buying a base Xbox One with more fluidity. I think not.

OLED all the hype is real, too bad there aren’t any 3D models, then it would be perfect. 3D for me was the absolute best, too bad my PS 3D Display is pretty much toast after 20,000 hours of usage… XD

@@ekram1v135 Actually it may have been a 2017 $200 50” 4K “HDR”, replaced a $300 50” 1080p that my mom knee’d to death. Testing the Rise Of Tombraider Demo on PS4 Slim was seriously impressive with HDR set to Auto. Honestly I liked the 50” 1080p better because of the sub-pixel type and the Component Video for PS2, I totally need to buy a used one of that model, rare to find one with No Overscan.

Не понимаю почему в xbox one x текстуры лучше выглядят чем на xbox series x... мне лично не важно есть ли там трассировка лучей или нет. Дайте мне лучшие текстуры в игре на xbox series x. Ray tracing uses too much ram, textures are the easiest way to save ram, 16gb ram was not enough for next gen, needed at least 20gb. I specifically chose the 12gb RTX 2060 so that I would never have to compromise on textures for my PC. Aside from loading times, I prefer my One X over my Series X.

I agree, I'll take Native 4K over all of this artifact producing reprojections, upscaling, and dynamic resolution crap. I swear image quality this Gen has taken a hit in clarity chasing Ray tracing and 120 FPS none sense.

On SX it' s better than one x, play a game at 60 FPS this is so much better. I don't care 4k native, i prefer 4k dynamic/60 fps RT

Omg esta es una de las peores versiones jamás hechas para un videojuego, no solo las consolas de xbox series sacrifican muchísima resolución para ir a 60 fps, sino que aparte también la calidad gráfica está en gráficos casi Bajos, diria que es menor configuración gráfica que incluso one s. Realmente el Ray tracing en este juego no vale para nada la pena, los sacrificios son impresionantes.

No es que parezca, es que one x usa resolución 2160P y series s usa resolución dinámica entre 570P-1080p. La diferencia es abismal. Mucho mas nítido en one x.

Recuerda ademas, que mas alla del soporte del RT, la gpu en bruto de la series s no es mas potente que la gpu de la one x, lo que le permite usar resolución mucho mas alta. La diferencia es que series s tiene un Cpu mucho mejor, lo que le permite llegar a 60 fps, y la one x tiene cuello de botella en la cpu, impidiendo pasar de los 30.

Perfecta la explicación. Además muchos olvidan que One X costaba €500 cuando salió, que es lo mismo que cuesta Series X. Lo único es que muchos pensaban y siguen pensando que Series S iba a ser mejor en todos los aspectos porque es “next-gen”, lo que claramente no es. Series S se debería de comparar con One S y One X con Series X si lo piensas.

@@ajgamingcomparisons Exacto. Yo es que a series s la veo como algo intermedio, a medio camino. En mi opinión más allá de la tecnología Rdna 2 que le permita usar Raytracing (a resoluciones bajas), la gpu tiene una potencia bruta en teraflops bastante inferior a one x, por eso one x puede llegar facilmente a 4k nativo en muchos juegos punteros (red dead 2 por ejemplo). Sin embargo, el salto grande de series s respecto a one x esta(aparte del ssd lógico) en la cpu Zen 2, muchísimo mas rápido, que le permite llegar fácil a 60 fps incluso a 120 fps, cosa que en one x con su cpu jaguar es muy muy difícil. En resumen, series s tiene peor Gpu, pero mejor Cpu, por eso usa menor resolución pero mayor framerate.
