I'm going to see Metrik at Outernet, London next month. It's for my mate's birthday. He's a 27 year old Kiwi. I'm a 48 year old dad of two who saw this music grow from the early 90s. Getting some research in. Should be an interesting night 😂🙂🤪

Well it doesn't help that the best mate of a very famous DnB producer/DJ told me he thinks dancefloor is 'overproduced, souless nonsense' 🤣🤣 But if you chart this music right back, it's always changed. I go with an open mind...

Last year I had Immortal in my Release Radar on Spotify out of nowhere. I never listened to Metrik before and wasn't even the biggest fan of D&B yet it was there. ~1,5 years later Metrik is my favorite DJ, I listen to D&B on a daily base and his name was a huge selling point why I bought tickets for my first Rampage and Liquicity festival this year. He became quite special to me really fast and obviously I can't wait for his next album :) That being said, I absolutely love the mix you did. Not sure how often I already listen to it in the last 2 days. Definitely gonna check out your other mixes, too :)

“your world” is missing from your set ... it was the first important track released in 2007 by metrik ! at the time it was an absolute banger ... since then he has continued to release other bangers 😍

Oldest I could find on SoundCloud / Spotify was Stranger EP in 2008 😔still great looks! It’s a bangin track!
Some constructive feedback: sometimes you build up a with one song, mix the build up from the other in in and then drop the other. Try dropping the second song harder, so the drop really is a drop. Hope you know what you mean. Otherwise class remix!

Always appreciate feedback! Could definitely spice up how I do drops / doubles. Sometimes I do that just to mix in vocals during a breakdown (see 13:56) but there’s so many options to keep the mix interesting. Thanks mate!
