Everyone knows “Black Sheep” but I decided to dig into Metric’s discography this week and man, they’re awesome. Every song is great. Glad I gave them the chance.

20 years ago, 2004 with this song "The Police And The Private", i got stuck with them. I'm just lucky😊

Totally in love with this band i don't understand how the hell they're not bigger. if only they would have been an 80's rock band... 80's kids understood rock much better than today's kids, Metric would have been one of the greatest bands in the world today

Right?! She’s really giving it all lately, I saw her during the “choir of the Mind” tour and she was phenomenal! Also saw them last year at the Moore in Seattle with vip tickets, got to meet her and the band. They’re all lovely humble individuals.

Favorite song on the album.

Metric have the height of actual rock and roll.

One of the best songs ever written. Emily is a rock-goddess!

Another masterpiece of Metric gold.

This song gives me chills and resonates very much.

My favorite band hands down. Love them. Just bought “Fantasies” 10 year limited gold vinyl edition from their website. Lots of great sales there if you’re a huge Metric fan such as me.

Those chosen chords in the bridge are epic. Some of the best guitar song writing in the history of modern rock. It’s the comment section so I’m gonna comment and I’ll what I’ll say is the effects should be heavier, like Muse does it. Heavy and thick as fuck. Step right into it with obnoxious Oasis like layers throughout the whole back end and let her soar over top. And like any lead vocalist, gotta challenge her to soar. Especially on that last 16 bars or so with gnarly heavy guitar behind . It’s the difference between a great song, which it already is, and blowing people away at a show. That song has the potential to floor people backwards. She can be pushed to hit that the high octave and let it hang, let it delay, and deliver that chord progression just like a beast of an echo like you’re in Wimbley. We’re Canadian and we’re humble and I get it but there’s 2 or 4 minutes of your set right there, on that one, where Metric can reach a new stratosphere of rock. And when we go home after the show it wasn’t just good, like always, there was a moment where we were floored right back into our seats. I love you guys

I really like this song. Was my anthem in Dakar. Pumping rythme. The final third has a suspenseful air to it. I’d prefer if Emily would sing that part as she does in the album. No need to accentuate it. It’s just fine as it is.
