I like Metric - have several of their songs on playlists. I heard this song for the first time two days ago, driving my son (11 and a piano man) home from judo at night. Within a minute he had turned off his tablet and put his head back to listen. We were both entranced. Fast forward to my morning commute, I played it first thing, and then again and again, and by the end of the fourth play I was tearing up. I must have played it a dozen more times that day. As a 49-year-old man who has been in love with music for 36 years and is constantly searching for more and better, it takes a lot to impress me. This was a revelation. A connection between my 80's roots and the rare gems of modern music. Easily in my top 5 songs of all time.

It’s not just you. For my money, Now or Never Now is Metric’s best tune period. They’ve put out some totally awesome stuff over the years. The existentialist, soul searching call to action represented here is extraordinarily powerful. The wall of sound melody lifts the song to the stratosphere.

I wish there were a 20 minute version of this, it’s really good.

This song actually really helped save me 🥺❤️

Definitely Metric’s best... the genius of the lyrics, the pounding beat, Emily’s swooping, swirling, perfectly nuanced (as always) vocals. I have listened to this song time and again for two years, have yet to tire of it, and have only one quibble: it cannot be played loud enough.

i find their synths have a softness that is kind to the ears at any volume level. i hate the softness. sometimes you want it to hurt.

I was driving around my old hometown, on Christmas day, yesterday, and was playing this album. I had a severe case of "the feels" going on. I agree with everyone who states the whole album is excellent, because it's one killer after another.

Been a fan of metric since 2012 when my dad showed me breathing underwater and was a fan instantly. This song is so powerful and so catchy, I would never get sick of. Probably the best song I’ve ever heard

For me, this song perfectly represents how it feels to try to go into the dating scene after losing your love. I like the fact that it sounds so cheerful, but the lyrics are so deep. That's how it feels. On the outside, I look so optimistic and cheerful, but on the inside, it's been nothing but confusion and chaos. But it's like I'm at that fine line between being stuck in the past and moving forward. "Because the last time I let myself feel this way it was a long, long time ago. And now we get so scared to be nowhere left alone...It's now or never now" 💖 It's like they've been reading my mind. They clearly expressed what I had difficulty expressing.
