There are hundreds of "hotter" love stories out there in books and in movies that are far superior to this teen melodrama. Pretty sure Robert Pattinson would agree with me as well. lol The music was definitely the best part of all the movies combined.

Yes the early 00’s era 🙌🏼 all the movies came out when I was in 8th til 12th grade best time to be alive during teenage yrs

I was coming to the end of a 4.5 year prison sentence in 2010 for robbery. I was in a maximum security prison in solitary confinement. I was completely infatuated with this song when it came out. I'd keep my TV on a music channel all day just waiting for this song to come on. When I was released in December 2010, I met my future wife soon after who was a huge Twilight fan. I didn't know this song was from Twilight, or even what Twilight was, when I would listen to this song while is prison. Eleven years later, we are still married and have 5 kids. I now have a masters degree and am a professional engineer. My wife is a nurse. My how times have changed. I still love this song though.

I had walked out of the room as the Eclipse credits were rolling at the end of the movie only to walk right back into the room seconds later to find out who was singing that closing song. OMG what a voice. Eclipse is a freakin amazing tune, but the pinnacle of that composition, even more so than the lyrics...is Emily Haines voice. I wonder if she knew when she wrote it that it would be the biggest soundtrack hit of that movie franchise.

Metric was a such a big part of my adolescence. This song (from Twilight Eclipse) and Black Sheep (from Scott Pilgrim Vs The World) where two songs that defined my music taste as a person. Now ten years later, I listen to them and they bring me happiness, nostalgia and beautiful memories. Thank you Metric.

I came from Vancouver, WA next to Portland, OR where I was born in 1995, then moved to the Austin, TX area in 2019. Seeing Twilight will always make me remember and miss the wonderful years I spent in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where these movies were filmed!

Soundtrack and movie aside this band is fantastic and have made a lot of great music. I hope the audience that shows up here doesn't miss out on that and just see them as a track on a soundtrack. They are almost 20 years deep in this and have countless hits that deserve recognition.

@@Teri.DactylMy first was Metric opening for Halsey... opening for Imagine Dragons. I immediately fell in love with Halsey at the time not knowing the band at all. Of course Metric was an amazing show as you'd expect but unfamiliarity made me duck out of Imagine Dragon's early(avoid crowd but also bored). Paramore, Halsey, and Metric would be the perfect concert.

I distinctly remember hearing this song all the time in my sleep as a kid, falling asleep to the twilight movies. Listening to it alone makes me cry for whatever reason. The ending songs for all the movies are such great pieces that always hit those soft spots.

Anyone listening? May 2024 ☺️❤️

Late, but “Soft Rock Star”, “Empty”, “Too Little Too Late”, “White Gold” are all awesome. The lyrics and the way she sings them carry a lot of emotion; you can tell she put her heart into it

I watch at least one (but most times all) of the Twilight movies every year, since they came out. Such a big part of my puberty, I never get tired of it. I actually know every single word in the first movie.

Not a fan of the films, just in admiration of the track. Beautiful vocals, melodies & lyrics. Close your eyes & get lost in her voice. Good job
