My uncle had a spot like this in Brooklyn. As a kid we visited a times in the 80's, my Dad tried really hard not to get his kids to sell it, but they did. Hadbhe off not been forced to take an early retirement & my Mom was on disability, he said he would of brought it!

IKR! My uncle had one & we went to NY several times in the 80's. I knew then I could never live there! TOO COLD& TOO MANY PEOPLE !!! I asked my Dad after the 1st visit,when are we going back to America🤣🤣🤣 I was 7 & we lived in California. It's a beautiful Brownstone!

I lived 3 houses down! It's nice to see this beautiful brown stone restored so beautifully.
Did I count 4 floors, a basement and a rooftop deck?! Wow! BTW, that finished basement would convince me! Nothing like having nice, usable space. For storage, extra sleeping area if you have a houseful etc.
That is one very well done home. That couldn't have been remodeled better then it is. Whoever lives in that should be very happy they got it.

The woodwork is very similar to what I have in my 2 bedroom bungalow in Pennsylvania! Especially the staircase.

It would be a shame to convert this mansion into multiple apartments, but the price would be affordable only to a very wealthy family. Recently there are more who have acquired means to live at this level, so there is hope that it will not be spoiled.
I think that’s St. Francis Parish .... If so, I grew up close by. Much love to Bklyn.
