Meter Guage Train Journey through the CHORAL VALLEY | June 2022
In June 2022, me and my friend Akshay Inamdar went out to explore the beautiful Choral valley along the Choral River.
Choral river rises in the Vindhyachal Range of Indore District and after flowing in northeast direction through the mountains, it turns south after exiting the Vindhyas near Patalpani waterfall and joins with Narmada River in Barwaha city . The Choral river has a length of 55 km.
For this, we took the now heritage, meter guage line from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (MHOW) to Omkareshwar Road. Long time back this line used to connect the city of Nizams HYDERABAD to the heart of Rajasthan AJMER. but now only this section of the meter guage is remaining.
In this video, you will see the extended journey from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to Choral, through the CHORAL Valley.

Hi Avinash, excellent landscape coverage as usual,have you travelled in Goram ghat which comes on Mavali junction to Marwad junction which is mind-blowing train route on MG section,if you have covered please send the link if not covere, please cover it before it gets closed for gauge conversion,it is one of the best ghat on MG route,I will enjoy watching through your way

Be happy that the MG train is atleast running . It is very rare to see MGs. These are loss making routes for IR🙂🙂. I visited Omkareshwar recently by bus. Tracks are well maintained
