Metcalf Moto Park on BMW R1200GSA Adventure Bike

Me and Mike took big adventure bikes to Metcalf motorcycle park, I'm on BMW R1200GSA and Mike on KTM 990 Adventure. We warmed up on some easy trails and then stepped it up to trail 3, going through Loma Prieta Trail, and then through 3D, 3E, 3B and 3F to the exit.
Nothing really exciting is happening in the video, might be useful for fellow adventure riders though.
Mike has bunch of suspension and power mods on his bike.
GSA is all stock, riding on Mitas E07+ Tires. Traction control was on most of the time. Suspension felt too soft for this kind of riding, so i might have to figure out what to do with it.
Music in the order of appearance:
Tigerblood Jewel - Bring my Friends
Conditional - Space Age Girl Machine
Of Men and Wolves - I'm Not Crying
Tigerblood Jewel - Gold in Our Pockets

Thanks for sharing Eugene. My motto is this for riding ADV/Dual Sport: whatever gets you out and brings you back with memories is a great ride. That can be in mud, on dirt, on asphalt, wherever. Those trails look super fun. Great music BTW.

That had to be work. Riding this on my KTM 350 is tough, can image it on that beast!

Thanks for the video Eugene! I have 80-20 tire on my 1200 GS. Do you think I can do the beginner trails in Metcalf with that? Is there any deep sand in beginner trails?

There's no deep sand on beginner/green trails. They are wide fire-roads. If you don't have dirt experience, I'd skip trail 1, as it has a steep descend that some might not be comfortable with.

Just ordered a GSA 1250 to replace my GS 1250. I live not too far from the Park and was wondering what air pressure you lowed your tires to, could not quite hear when you did say. Thank You! I go to Carnegie also and will have TK 80 tires as I did on the GS.

tires were good, on loose climbs they were wandering around, but felt predictable. I feel like they behave better than TKC80s that i had before. But the major benefit of these tires for me is that they are also really goo don highway, you can do canyons, then 80MPH highways and then hit the offroad, and tire would be good al around. With TKC80s, they were wobbly on highway, so i used to have road set of tires and offroad set of tires. Now i only have one.

Thanks. Thumbs up. I love the video and the riding. Metcalf is my "home base" for riding. But I humbly suggest that you lose the music. It adds nothing and is...not good. (IMO)
