Holy Shit the Death is very graphic. Normally Fantasy Rpgs are not that brutal. I must say i like it tough it makes it more realistic. I mean most of the Time they just disappear into some Magical Stuff. If now they also use Magic more realistic and useable i will love that Game.

Atlus games stand out, as they have never shied away from sociopolitical commentary, though philosophical in nature, not partisan. The king is dead, his dreams hang on a silver thread. The crown can either fall to the darkest usurper or be up for grabs by whoever fills the power vacuum first. Can we revive the dream? Will this be Hashino‘s masterpiece? I‘m ready to find out.

I can't believe we have been getting Atlus games on Xbox on day 1 for a while now. It's still so surreal. Even Xbox got the marketing rights for Metaphor and Persona 3. If it weren't for Atlus doing this, I would never have got an Xbox.

@@SeeinHyrule Vengeance was too much for just DLC, the new content is straight-up an entirely new, full-length campaign, independent from the original game. It was also a multiplatform release, unlike the original Switch exclusive, so anyone not playing on Switch, which I imagine are most players, were going to have to buy a full-price game to begin with.

@@Meta289 it was not too much content for dlc otherwise it would have been a standalone release and even that would have been better than somehow having to be bundled with the base game. Same with the QOL changes they couldn't be pushed to the base game apparently It sold 1.6 million copies for the base game, the best selling of any SMT game. This is just Atlus model. Even Person 3 Reload launched with day 1 DLC for the version of the game

@@SeeinHyrule The point is that the Vengeance campaign would already be a $60 game on its own, not just a $30 DLC expansion. Vengeance wasn't just the same game with some new content sprinkled throughout, like P5R, it was a full-length game in its own right.

The parallels to Persona are obvious. I’m personally convinced that this project started out as Hashino‘s vision for P6, but slowly grew into its own IP due to the setting being a 180 mirror image of Persona games. What gives it away is the focus on the travel mechanic in-game. Remember that P5 was supposed to be a global road trip game at first, just like this one. They had to restrict the setting to one city early on due to budget limitations.

Fortunately no. Microsoft is just paying a lot of money to Sega for Atlus game’s to finally release on Xbox. That comes with marketing rights and game pass deals. But no exclusivity, so far.

So naturally people are going to compare how the new game holds up to the Persona games and especially to P5R. But when you enjoy a wide variety of Atlus games it's really annoying when Persona (5) is brought up literally everywhere you go.

If they wanted to promote the Xbox platforms more, why not make some of these games timed exclusives?

Probably came to that conclusion because that Katrina person is localizing the game, still too early to see for sure if it's going to be a bad localization though. Either way, Persona 3 Reload was done well enough I'd say, so it should be fine.
