Our tiny, 10th century Saxon church here in the UK took our services online during Covid, and I started to search for, and play, music that in hard times touches the heart. Three years later and after Covid, we continue this exploration of great music because everyone agrees that this kind of art elevates the spirit. I am so grateful for the musicianship of these fellow human beings. Notre petite église saxonne du Xe siècle ici au Royaume-Uni a mis nos services en ligne pendant Covid, et j'ai commencé à rechercher et à jouer de la musique qui, dans les moments difficiles, touche le cœur. Trois ans plus tard et après le Covid, on continue cette exploration de la grande musique car tout le monde s'accorde à dire que ce genre d'art élève l'esprit. Je suis tellement reconnaissant pour la musicalité de ces êtres humains.

Simply outstanding and soul searching. I am not educated in music but I have been gifted with wonderful ears and deep respect for sounds. Here I don't know about any instruments except violin. Understanding other cultures and being heartful to other people has nothing to do with who you are by nationality or race etc. It's about a person's outlook and education. Being Russian doesn't make me neither proud nor ashamed - just a fact given, no more no less. But what really means is how I (or any other human) views the world and acts upon. Let it be peace and understanding 🙏

And you writing in English while I cannot write in Russian kind proves my point: those who use multiple languages are most likely going to have a greater understanding of the world in general, and art specifically. I do speak Spanish and French, and have traveled extensively to experience art around the world. And in those years of travel I've met Russians. And they are knowledgeable. Hence my comment.
