Moments like 6:35 are what make these videos so intriguing. There's obviously a difference in perspective between Lars and James, but they've learned to respect and value each other's opinion so much over the years that it doesn't become contentious at all. James especially has learned to appreciate a challenge to his opinion and not get entrenched in his thinking. Great stuff.
St. Anger has some pretty underrated songs. It was nice to hear All Within My Hands being mentioned.

I was thinking the same thing! It was dynamic. He doesn’t do that walk “down” the fret board much in solos and it really gave it some blues-ie funk. I’d like to hear more Kirk solos like that one instead of just way up high on the fret board using wah pedal. He can do all kinds of stuff if he wants. That solo just needed a little cleanup and it would be money.

I freaking love this song, my favorite track on Hard Wired! It feels like a mix of all the eras with a touch of new, so freaking good!
The honesty that Lars and James have with each other is awesome. I love that they can talk like this and take criticism without lashing out as much. I'm sure it still happens, but the conversation they have in this is fascinating.
There should be a video where they explain a couple of songs (5:50) would be pretty interesting how they understand theire own songs.
