I agree they sound amazing BUT different.. there are some songs that need to be played Jason Newested pick bass style, otherwise sound very different

Lars is playing with such confidence. I think they do much more rehearsal than they usually do.

@@CamiloSalvadorMP Lars was always in good shape - he used to go running for exercise in the 80's and 90's. It just gets harder and harder to stay in shape and easier and easier to gain weight once you're over 40 - I know this fact well from personal experience.

@@CamiloSalvadorMP Probably so - I was just pointing out that Lars has been lean and in good shape for most of his life except for a few years in the late 2010's. As I said, once a person gets over 40 and especially over 50, it becomes harder and harder to stay fit and in shape.
It was such a great show, from start to finish. They're totally on fire this tour on the back of such a strong new album, and I'm still pinching myself that I saw them play 'Orion' live 🔥

It gives that vibe because it uses a similar chromatic scale as the main riff of master and moved up a half or whole position

My dudes have entered a new golden era. I’ve been watching their tour videos since i was 15 (now 29) and I’ve always been wowed by their live performances. But these guys are on a whole ‘nother level this tour. Absolutely incredible

I've always respected his drumming, he's a little unorthodox but that's a big part of what makes that Metallica vibe. He also plays parts that serve the song, nothing more, nothing less, and he's very good at working with the production team to get what he hears in his head song wise onto the final mix, he knows what makes a song work and I think this last Album proves my point.

I say this with 1000% respect for these guys. They started out as this incredible experiment in thrash metal and over 40 years have become the greatest rock band, ever.
James' economy of motion in his riffing hand will always be a thing of beauty
Sounding absolutely amazing. The middle section is particularly great.

Agreed! It wasn’t my first time seeing Metallica but the two nights in Hamburg were unbelievable! Best weekend of my life. I was headbanging, jumping and having the time of my life. And I’m glad that you had a similarly wonderful experience there my friend.

Fuck that was some good shit. I had to play it back like 5 or 6 times! The man is an animal even at 59. Lets hope hes got at least 10 more years in that voice.

Wow! Metallica is fucking killing it live, love that "Never!" from James at the end, sounds like his approach on "Shadows Follow" and also from the Black Album period.

Kirk is a fabulous guitar player. That solo while almost running and all the little quirks that makes it masterful

it's one of the grooviest riffs ever.
For some reason the song came into my head, typed it in, and found this. Didn't even know they're on tour. I am impressed with the sound and tightness. Good to see and hear Metallica like this.

I think thats the first time Ive ever seen Lars hit the hats in a tom pattern like that before. I had to double check the original because I couldnt remember if he had done that. Sure enough, its there. I dont know how I have missed that. It adds so much to that part.
