Old Metallica is the best Metallica, Rest Easy Clifford

This was one of many amazing songs my best friend use to play on his 6 string bass. One particularity great day back in 02 we had just gone thru the Panama Canal in our ship and we’re coming up the Cali Coast. We were taking 45+ foot seas. It was the best sleep we ever got but I’ll never forget how he had to anchor one leg on the bulkhead to keep steady while playing this very song LOL He ended up tragically passing away from cancer 6 years ago. Fair winds & Following Seas, Neil, you are eternally missed!

Actually the term "Seek And Destroy" was the early term for "search and destroy" which was the name of the US military's attack helicopter doctrine during the Vietnam conflict. Basically the OH-6 Cayuse had a Minigun and a grenade launcher and marked targets (hence "search") for the AH-1 Cobra attack helicopter, which was armed with rocket pods, and a chin turret with a Minigun and a full-auto grenade launcher. (Hence "destroy") However this song is usually interpreted to be about the bands early days, being pissed-off teenagers trying to make it big in a world where thrash metal isn't. If I could choose one song to describe what makes Metallica great, this would be it.

The drum part afterwards sounds like the start of the iCarly theme. I think 0:00 is probably Metallica's finest moment. The intro to this song is probably one of the best metal intros ever written. Along with Walk by Pantera, Balls To The Wall by Accept, Aces High by Iron Maiden, and Metal Machine by Sabaton.

This one right here, Master of Puppets and One were the three songs that introduced me to Metallica. They are pure gold, but after their introduction I've met so many "underrated" songs like The Shortest Straw, Disposable Heroes, Fight Fire With Fire and such. Metallica is full of amazing songs

I have to admit the first time I heard Metallica when I was young, I didn't like them, because to me it was speed metal and was too much. But then I heard For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade to Black and Master of Puppets and then I thought "What a great band". To this day I think In my opinion one of the great metal bands in history.

Al'rite... , That pretty much sums it up for the best track on this album! I love the tone of the guitars and the solo's are very Tres-chic !

When I was about 18 I told people that this would be eventually be classic rock. It's above and beyond that now, but may of you will remember the disbelievers! Best albums overall in my opinion. Sort of like Black Sabbath they drew from the past and made it the future. That ending riff is the fuck all.

Now I learned so much and love my relationship with god I know he loves and cares for me AND HE LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU TOO!
