Just watching this now myself, was a fan in my teens now 48 life got in the way then stranger things featured the master of puppets solo and boom needed to some nostalgia. This concert was absolutely fantastic to watch the music was superb brings me back a few years 🤣 think I’ll have to buy an album or 2 now. Wow to think it was vinyl when I last had a physical copy of a Metallica album now its downloaded to the old iPhone 🤣🤣 I feel old.

I was at the St.Louis Show and it rained a lot, but this was pretty intense and I bet the energy there was Amazing. There's a feeling of "we're all in this together" at some point and everyone has a great time.

I don't know if they wanted the stage structure designed that way, but it sure feels like a sign of respect for the fans. Also everything, from mics to pedals, is top notch stuff and wireless, no risk for the band

When Prince was performing at the 2007 Superbowl half-time show, he was backstage and it was a torrential downpour. Everyone was horrified that the show would be a disaster. They asked his assistant, "Is Prince Okay?" and the response was, "He wants to know if you can make it rain harder." What a legend.

A lot of people mock Lars as a drummer, but look how involved in the gig he is! Most drummers just sit back there and bang away. Lars is active, Lars cheers the crowd. Lars even gets up when he doesn't need to be sitting and is actually part of the stage and part of the band. How can you not respect that?!

It's definitely not so much a problem today I guess though since everyone and their dog has Spotify, haha. But definitely back in the day it certainly helped spread the word.

they bloody didn't mate. The crowd sound is due to pure mass but mostly it was gammon/offspring of gammon. This lot would never invest in new bands or listen to new metal on the radio day to day uh uh, no way.

These guys write, produce and play my therapy music. It’s the best thing besides having children, able to drive a car and live a somewhat free life. I’m here still because their music has helped me keep going as has the love of my pets, kids and a future husband who will respect and appreciate me. When James turned the pick over its custom made to this concert just shows how much respect this band has to their crowd. Absolutely amazing. When I was 8 I started playing guitar but when I turned to 16 I just got fed up because of the classical music there wasn’t any other option. I set aside my guitar for a couple of years than it’s actually Metallica who turned me on again to play since than I became professional. Can’t thank enough for them.

Phenomenal how they played through a biblical storm and didn’t miss a note, Metallica were on fire that night so privileged to have been there 🤘🏻Metallica are my boys I’ve seen them 23 times and this was second only to Master of puppets being played in its entirety at Castle Donnington In my opinion. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Took my son here I’m proud to say and was one of the greatest moments of our lives because of Metallica because of this concert my son will never forget how fuckin Awsome his dad is xxx

Shots like 1:29:03 are why a concert like this in the rain is so sick. Being able to see the water bounce off the drums through the lights is so cool

I’m a new Metallica fan and seeing this concert makes me really excited whenever I have my first Metallica concert! I love Metallica so much!

I covered a lot of these songs as a lead guitarist in the 90s when I was in my early 20s. It was damn hard work back then. Now i'm in my 50s I've switched to bass lol. Massive props to these guys for keeping fit and still rocking 2hr shows.

My first Metallica gig. Cant wait to go back and watch the entire thing. Their performance of Master of Puppets in the torrential rain was amazing

Seeing Lars beating into the drums and see the water splashing around from the rain must be the most badass think I saw in the while! Incredible show!

What an absolute fantastic performance, didn’t think it was possible but you guys just get better and better! Beat life show I’ve ever seen. Even though it was in KZread. Which I’d been there.

The reason I pair Metallica and Nirvana together is they both sold 30 million copies of their most popular albums. Both albums were released in 1991. The bands had plenty of fans overlapping and liking both bands. That was the last era of rock as a really hugely popular form of music.

I saw Metallica for the first time in the mid 80s when they only had two albums. I still love them now :)

I had never seen something like this, man, this guys seriously went to kick ass, so many AMAZING moments in this show!!!!! How much energy under that pouring rain as if nothing was going on... they really deserve all their success!!!

This was a day after our biggest rock festival here. I was still in the same clothes as I was 3 days before and in the same spirit
