HELL THE FRICK YESSSS!!!! This was the first song from the Black Album that made me really think I was becoming a Metallica fan; I always loved the live versions from 2012 except for James' singing... and now, hearing him bellowing away post 2017-18 vocal recovery, it's sounding MONSTROUS!!! Thank you for sharing my man, and for having a good quality recording!!

Whaat? His voice was awesome during 2012-2013! I mean, just listen to that first Black album show in Prague 2012 and the Australian shows from 2013...He was great back then!

@@mungofinalfi4480 You know, thinking about it, I do stand a little corrected; I definitely agree with you about the Australia 2013 shows!! His voice was pretty darn killer for the Soundwave shows, especially the Adelaide version of The Thing That Should Not Be!!

Yeah, okay. I still feel stupid to say that I feel they sound lacking without the breakneck speeds. :) But yeah, a lot of folks rightfully prefer this in-control version of Lars.

there's a rumor gping around that Lars is using a click drum to help him keeping time
@Jayteaseepiirturi
2 жыл бұрын
He's using it to get started in proper time, that's it. The tempo does live throughout the songs. But technically Lars has always known how to play in time. Just... that has never been Metallica's way even collectively. :D

I like it, but a few songs should be played as fast as possible, like they used to do. Songs like Battery, whiplash, fight fire with fire, creeping death. I think it's great that Lars is using a click track, but it will take some time to get used to them playing on time. I don't really have any problem with Lars staying on time, but i did enjoy when he used to go as fast as the song allowed him to.

Most bands sound much better when they play at album speed. Slipknot are a great example because now that they have eloy casagrande they have heavily slowed down but sound much tighter. And considering that Lars and Kirk aren’t nearly as good as they once were it only makes for them to slow down

They played the entire black album last night; along with some other songs. Two nights earlier, at the same music festival, they played a lot of different things from AJFA and other albums.
This is the type of music they should write at the age they are now. Give up trying the speedy thrash, they'll last a lot longer that way.

Don't ge me wrong, I love Metallica. I just don't get why Lars sounds out of time and Rob's vocals are unprofessional.
