LYRICS
Feeding on the wrath of man
Shot down
Traumatic
Time haunted by the past
Long gone
Dogmatic
Although the die is cast
Shot down
Volcanic
But what is done is done and done
Look back
Psychotic
No chance before this life began
Staring into black light
Dominating birthright
Wrath of man
Leaching through
Split in two
Wrath of man
Crash into
Point of view
Wrath of man
Violence
Inheritance
Wrath of man
Thrive upon
Feeding on
72 seasons gone
Feeding on the wrath of man
Shoot back
Erratic
Mad seasons take their toll
New mask
Chaotic
Completely lost control
Shoot back
Fanatic
Wither under looming shadow cast
Slip back
Narcotic
Blinded by the ashes of the past
Staring into black light
Choking on the stage fright
Wrath of man
Leaching through
Split in two
Wrath of man
Crash into
Point of view
Wrath of man
Violence
Inheritance
Wrath of man
Thrive upon
Feeding on
72 seasons gone
Piercing through
Cut in two
Polarize
Point of view
Crash into
Paralyze
Feeding on the wrath of man
Man down
Barbaric
Quick fire machine gun thoughts
Deep seed
Stigmatic
Some have and some have not
Man down
Demonic
No mercy from the ghost within
Turn back
Hypnotic
There’s breathing out but not back in
Staring into black light
Permanently midnight
Wrath of man
Leaching through
Split in two
Wrath of man
Crash into
Point of view
Wrath of man
Violence
Inheritance
Wrath of man
Thrive upon
Feeding on
72 seasons gone
Feeding on the wrath of man

Yeah I'm 47 & started playing guitar a year ago, of course all I play is Metallica songs. The first 8 months I'd wake up at night hands cramping up painfully. I'm finally almost in shape to play a fast song all the way through. It's given me a completely new perspective and respect for my music heroes...
Happy 1 year anniversary to 72 seasons 🎉🎉🎉

@@ThrashTilDeth83 I'm 44 myself but I work in a gym with many mixed age members. I like to see younger generations appreciate the classic metal bands, which me and a colleague often play in the gym. I've been listening to Kill 'Em All recently and it's hard not to appreciate just how heavy songs like Motorbreath, Whiplash and Metal Militia must've sounded 40 years ago.
The song was published 8 hours ago - and now there's more than 8500 thousand comments. For a band as old as I am - that alone - is a masterpiece. Looking forward to buying the original CD - and hoping it will be made as an old-school CD (first I downloaded the Hard Wired to Self Destruct from... somewhere - then ordered the original CD, so good it was). (Edited - by the way - Atlas, Rise! - which is kinda similar to this song - is a brilliant driving song.) Thanks for being there through the years, Metallica - best of metal luck from Latvia.

not arguing, but there are independent artists that make it to # 1 on the billboard charts, above artist like miley cirus and lady gaga....with absolutely no record label, no money spent in advertising, doing everything themselves. record labels are not necessary and they all limit the artists on what they can and can not say/do.

Amazes me that Metallica now at 59/60 years old can still rock out to a 7.5 minute song!. Been a fan since the age of 10 now 37. I cant say no more than then that they are to me the best American band ever. No matter what genre. I have been listening to Metallica since I was 12 beginning with Ride the Lightning. I am so glad to be a part of the Tallica family. They are a huge impact in life. This song is riffy and speedy James sounds amazing Kirk is STILL on fire. Rob is just bringing the heaviness and energy. Lars, annoying as he can be, is a huge part of their sound and production and sound. Love you Lars!!

I'd have to say your comments is one of the most accurate I've ever read. I totally agree, especially on the Lars comment, yes, he can be annoying and even comes out as conceded, but he is a major part on the arrangements sound etc. I have been listening since RTL also but I was a bit younger ;-) - rock on.

@Logan that song was so forgettable and boring, imo. I like this one more. Melodically and musically.
It’s crazy to me that this album is already 1 year old. I remember the day it was officially released. It was a Friday, I had taken the day off because I was flying to west palm beach with my family. I had first listened to the album on the plane ride and I loved it. It was especially wonderful because my birthday was about a week away. The first Metallica album to come out in 7 years was possibly the best gift I got that year. And what seems so recent was more than a year away truly shocks me.
I love this song, Metallica amazing band 🤘🏻
I’m gonna turn 40 this may. The simple fact that these guys were making music before I was even born and are still together making great music is amazing in its self. I still remember in 1996 when the load album dropped when I was in 6th grade and i talked my parents into taking me into K Mart to get the album. Their music got me though some tuff times growing up…. Thanks Metallica!
