Idk what bugs me more, the sanding job on the blend panels or the end where we see the finished clear and only see the clear up close on the blend panels. I wanted to see the clear on the door you based.

Paint came out beautiful! Why are people hating on his technique? Go away obviously the paint was flawless...the only thing is I would use a hooded respirator so the paint isn't getting into my eyes...other than that everyone has their own technique. Nice work

Jimmo we need details. Which gun part number, which nozzle size did you pick for each gun HVLP and RP, Where did you put the gun air pressure settings. Did you use the HVLP for base and the RP for clear? You know. All the good stuff.

Wow....its crazy how we all like different guns for different approach and applications....I mainly use the 5000hvlp for all my base and a supernova for clear. I’ve used the RP for base a few times...half and half results...but the transfer is nice...smaller tip for difficult silvers..those RPs hose it for sure . It’s a fast mover. I recently tried the 5500s ...not a fan.. booth sounds quiet...what are you spraying in? Maybe it’s the mic set up ?

impressive gun, that somewhat present overspray mean the flow is strong enough ? the base, from bottom up and the clear from top down ? any reason ? I don't spray cars but black or transparent gloss on piano cases, often done in polyester which I did not try yet , I use clear lacquer stained with black "paste" or concentrated dye one K or 2K produits (nitro or PU) work from top down.

These 3M mask are supposed to last 40 hours. Thats not 40 hours of painting thats 40 hours of not being in the ziplock bag provided. If you leave it on the counter out of the bag your 40 hours is ticking away. I put myn in the ziplock bag squeeze all the air out and zip lock it tight. I replace them when i smell the paint and that takes about 4 months. Needless to say thats a whole lot more than 40 hours.

That car probably had a shine through the bake cycle! Dead as all hell the next day! Damn application fundamentals are terrible in this video absolutley no way to paint the way he paints and have consitant paint jobs everytime! I promise this guy does allot of buffing or.someone does it for him! Been doing this a while and have some of the best training money can buy amd never in my life has anyone demonstrated the technique this guy uses matter of fact i would be embarrassed for anyone to see me apply my paint in that manner! Not one of those coats are medium wet more like extra dry, he hasnt made one consitant overlap, air pressure definitely too high for the speed and distance of application! Now i am a firm believer that there is more than one way to get too your final product! But there still are basic fundamentals in which he shows no discipline in the technique! Actually reminds me of everyother painter that comes to my shop says they can paint hand them a gun then promptly take it back! Everbody can paint until its actually time too step it up! All paint jobs look better on a camera (ever watch overhaulin then see that same car in real life at a car show! Dont even look like the same car!) All paint jobs shine when they are wet! I guarantee 3 days later that door soaked up to a nice dull shine! This video is one of the reasons our industry has a bad name! If your gonna post instructional videos at least have the the experience and knowledge required to do so instead of misleading your viewers! He makes it look so easy because he is doing it all wrong and u know any glasurit reps that whatch that video cringe when they see that guy applying thier paint like a 2year old learning to paint inbetween the lines! Good luck but a real experienced painter can watch that video for 5 seconds and tell u that guy doesnt j Have the first clue what its really like to be behind the trigger!

+MrElPoderozo1 yes, and before i did a lot of research on the SuperNova and Sata 5000. I then decided to get the Super Nova Entech with a 1.4 tip with an RTI regulator which was like 50 bucks made in USA(lasted about 2 months then broke) and was giving false readings and was strugglin a bit with the silver metallics. So i decided to buy the Iwata regulator which was almost 70 bucks and the difference was drastic, almost 8-10 psi difference. The silver metallics and golds now spray like a charm. You can spray water or solvent and clear The Entech also atomizes the clear really really good, i never cut and buff. Its definitely an improvement over the LPH 400(i now use my LPH 400 for sealer). if your constantly working on cars or projects its so worth it and a great investment. If u want a the best spray gun dont look at the price look at what the gun does in the long term and performance. The Entech sprays the clear better then WS 400, why?? cause they had the WS400 evo at the school i went to and the Entech lays down the clear better. And if your on a budget save $100 bucks every 2 weeks thats what i did....later dude

Thank God you're not painting one of my cars I would never trust you to your penny over a shiny panel and it doesn't even look like you scuffed it or let me correct that your blending into a shiny front door I'm in pain for 8 years now I'm not saying I'm the best painter in the world but your painting technique and prep work does not look good in my opinion

+Salvatore Brando ..I was think the same thing..carried blend way too far, too heavy. Looked like the blend area ended really abruptly from our angle...for what it is worth, I go about 1/4 way into blend panel with full strength base color, then use one part reduced color, one part slow solvent, one part basemaker/blending clear to thin color and I then take that out another 1/4 panel length or as needed...using a sata 4000b RP 1.2w ... I also have a sata 4000 HVLP 1.3 I use in certain situations and colors

I watch this video and all I can think of is how this guy wouldn't last a week painting with us real painters in the RV industry. You have to haul ass and produce a better paint job than this. We use Sata 5000 all the time yawn
