In 2019 Dimash was invited as a coach to the "super vocal" contest in China for opera and theater singers from Asian countries. Dimash says that he had only a few hours to prepare the voices, choirs and orchestration of this tribute to Queen for accompany these three contestants. Episode 12 usually requires the singer or group to invite someone (not competing) to pair up as a duet. When Dimash competed in 2017, he paired up with Laure Shang. This time around, the Super Vocal Boys asked Dimash to join them.

Dimash is much love in China he bacame popular there when he participated in a singing competition Singer in 2017. After that Dimash became known worldwide.

It's surprising to see the entire Chinese audience singing a Queen song « we are the Champion « …….which shows us that music unites all people….

Dimash was a guest performer here and the mentor for the group. He also did the whole arrangement for the song. I believe they only had a couple of hours to rehearse due to Dimash's hectic schedule. The cheers at the beginning weren't surprising because Dimash was already an Idol in China by this time. Dimash also did a Queen Medley as part of a group of 6 in Shine Super Brothers. There's a few clips of Dimash singing Queen at karaoke too which is great fun.

Dimash was the mentor for the group? I’ve never heard that before. It was my understanding, based on what I’ve read, that Dimash wasn’t originally supposed to sing with them, that the group’s fourth person had to bow out due to family concerns (or something) and Dimash was requested to fill in for him. Not true?

Brian May was shown the video of Dimash performing, The Show Must Go On, from The Singer. He loved it and said Dimash was the best singer he had ever heard

Agree I did not know Freddie at all but it seemed he understood the importance of classical elements. He might have understood and appreciated the musicak wonder that is Dimash!

Dimash has EVEN MORE QUEEN COVERS. 😄 In late 2021 Dimash was on a Chinese reality show called "Shine! Super Brothers". Performers from different fields (singers, dancers, rappers) had to form teams and perform together. (They also played team sports) Dimash picked Queen for his team's performance, We Will Rock You + We Are The Champions. Dimash has a fun and quirky sense of humour and loves many different styles- including rock. His song Be With Me has a different vibe, but is a lot of fun to see. The official MV is the best. This is one of my favourite ensemble performances from Dimash. Super Vocal Boys appears to have been a created group for the competition and Dimash was a guest.😮

The other singer in silver jacket (Ayanga) is Mongolian. His background is in Theatre. The other two are Ju Hongchuan (next to Dimash) and Cai Chengyu (next to Ayanga). They were some of the winners of the Super Vocal show (along with Gao Tian He, who was in the audience, but was their Musical Director, until Ayanga left Super Vocal Boys, and Gao joined the group). Gao Tian He has a vast vocal range too. Ayanga has a very sad back story to his childhood, with his older brother bringing him up, when their parents died. Just as Ayanga was leaving for College, his brother died, so Ayanga stayed to help his sister-in-law bring her children up). Only when the children were old enough, did Ayanga go to College. Yes, a great tribute. Queen and Freddie will can never be replaced and should not be compared with anyone, as Dimash should not. The Super Vocal boys did very good, fun!

Nice reaction. The Super Vocal Boys were formed from the Super Vocal show in 2019, a tv series in China. You are right, they are all exceptional singers who you can pick out. The one next to Dimash who sang the verses is Ayanga, a Mongolian musical actor. Missing is Zheng Yunlong, who had to cancel due to his schedule, I learned. He is in the first few performances of this Singer competition. Worth checking out! Dimash, of course, is in a league of his own! 💞

I loved this Queen medley from Dimash and the Super vocal boys and I also love Adam lambert who tours with the remaining members of Queen. All of them put their own touches to the songs and don’t try and imitate Freddie.

Hi Viking I notice when some people react to Dimash, speak in the accent of his English but this is natural, it is not the mother tongue. Whoever touches this accent will also not have it if they speak French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese or any other language other than their own. Even Americans have a different accent when they speak English. Unfortunately nowadays he talked a lot about the details, throwing the DETAILS behind his back.

Brian May did see Show Must Go On in the 2017 Chinese vocal contest. He was quite impressed. And. I'm sure that when Freddie was looking down on that performance he was giving Dimash a standing O. By the way, Queen and Michael Jackson have long been two of Dimash's favorites.

The Super Vocal boys are 4 of the six winners of another extremely professional singing show from China for professional Opera and musical singers. Every week 6 principals out of 36 contestants had to choose a song, decide if they are singing solo or choose partners from the rest for a duet, trio or more, figure out the arrangements and work out the harmonies to suit their voices. There was not one average singer in the show. I could higly recommend Ayunga from Mongolia (second guy sining the solo), Zhou Shen, Wang Xi, Zhen Yulong and so on... More so these guys worked hard because apparently opera as well as musicals seem to not to be very popular in China and these guys tried their best to make people more aware of their craft to not perform in front of half empty audiences in the future.

In my opinion this quartet is absolutely great and this queen medley is incredible and perfect..But honestly ok the other 3 guys are good but Dimash is of another planet..Just thanks to Dimash,his strong charisma/personality,and his divine and unique voice this quartet is great and this medley is wonderful..Without Dimash this quartet and this medley are just good..Dimash just with his presence raise the quality level of each his collaboration..King Angel Dimash Forever

Thank yhou for your reaction. This was Singer 2019, Super Vocal Boys were invited to participate in the competition and did really well. During the finals they invited Dimash as one of their guest singers. Super Vocal consists of Ayunga, Cai Chengyu and Ju Hongchuan. Dimash is definitely in a class of his own, but I love Super Vocal and they have a lot of other great performances that show the strength of the individual group members. They are all solo singer but was asked to form a group for the competition. If you want to listen to good harmonies I suggest you check out their performances. This is my most favourite redemption of Queen songs, very respectful. The queen songs are notoriously very difficult to sing, you have to have a great vocalists and just as you said - not everything flys. But this was great. My husband though, prefer the Queen concert with Paul Roger's as a lead singer. Not sure about that, but I love Paul Roger's own music. Thank you for a great reaction, always interesting to hear the opinion of a Queen fan about things like that

To me he usually sounds like he's singing classical song even when he's singing a heavier song. There's nothing wrong with that it's how he was trained and his incredible voice. Queen's music is incredible no matter who sings it.
