People who trash Ghost have probably never actually listened to Ghost. Ghost operates at such a high level in terms of songcraft, performance, production, stage show, etc.. People may want something more intense, with more blast beats, etc, but Ghost know how to write amazing songs.

I have watched every single reaction of yours to Ghost and I can honestly say that the reason why I truly believe your reaction vids are the best on KZread is because they are so utterly honest and genuine. From the outset, you say exactly as you are feeling and you can tell it is coming from the heart with no pre determined view or opinion or scripted response. It’s so pure and that’s why I respect it so much. I also respect the fact that you are true to yourself regardless of the general consensus and majority feeling. Like when you mentioned you couldn’t click with Elizabeth back in Opus as much as the other tracks and more recently with your Kaisarion views aswell. Never change bro, stay doing what you do and keep liking what you like and being honest when you don’t fully feel it. Please don’t end the Ghost journey with Impera. There are still the EP’s, covers and multiple live Ghost vids to explore too which I’d love to see you react too. All the best Man x

I just discovered Ghost a few months ago and I love them. I'm 57 years old and this is the type of music I grew up on. If you haven't watched the video shorts, chapters 1 through 14, you need to see them. If Tobias wasn't a musician he could've been an actor, he's hilarious. I feel bad that I didn't know about Ghost sooner, they had a concert about 40 minutes from my house in September.

I've got the same reaction about this one on my first time like "daheck? Are you trying to send me to another dimension of vibes PapAh!?" And the lyrics to this one is just beautiful. It's a wonderful power balad. And I have to say, some of their songs are growers, like, it may takes some time to set in, and others are just instantly love.

I'm going to miss your joy at finding new songs. It's been so much fun hearing it all again for the first time through you. Thank you for the ride! There's always the covers, EPs and live vids, if you wanted to keep the Ghost train rolling. I'd buy a ticket. As for the Rammstein (rhymes with nine) comments - or any other haters, really, some people are going to hate on principle because it's not made for them. They can pound sand. R+ is my #1, has been for 20 years and I also adore everything that is Ghost. TF is just following a similar formula. Rammstein was my gateway to Ghost - I found them through the song Cardinal Copia did with Emigrate (a side project by RZK from Rammstein) called "I'm Not Afraid" if you wanted to check it out. There's a seat at the table for everyone, even if we're not all in the same room. \m/

I guess Ghost fans are so used to absolutely love every single one of their songs that they find it weird when somebody doesn't. It's totally ok not to like this or that song for whatever reason. Each person is different, has different background and personal taste. Ghost indeed belongs to that rare kind of artists that don't want to put effort in 1 or 2 singles and complete the rest of the album with mere fillers. They put effort in every song as if any of them would be a working single and that results in amazing albums you can listen from head to toe without skipping songs, but occasionally someone won't like some, at least not as much as they normally do. It's perfectly normal. This type of "gatekeeping" is so annoying.

I’ve known of Ghost for a few years but never delved into the music because I’d only heard Cirice and wrote them off as some dark band I wasn’t gonna relate to in my 30’s. So fucking wrong. I’m a metalhead. I fell in love with Korn at age 8 and Pantera when I was 11, etc etc. I was reintroduced to this band by my 7 year old daughter who discovered Mary on a Cross on TikTok… and I was like “This shit is SICK?!” It’s SO good. And now I’m obsessed with this song, and with Call Me Little Sunshine. But also Square Hammer, Cirice, Spillways, Kiss The Go-Goat and so many more. I’m going down all the rabbit holes. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Ghost as a lover of music. So hi, new subscriber lol 👋🏼

I’ve been listening to Rammstein for years and only just discovered ghost and i love both and they are very different but both have catchy as hell riffs. Would be very difficult to match Rammsteins live shows though as they spend a ton on them and they are all licensed pyrotechnics so it’s a big ask but would be cool to see that kind of production

And there's a pretty underground-ish band that is severely underrated called Eclipse (I think one of the members were from In Flames or something, I might be wrong tho) and they've got a KILLER album called Paradigm that came out in 2019. They've got a whole discography but that album just hits different. It's catchy as fuck (not really heavy but doesn't have to be) but the drums and some of the riffs are just *chefs kiss*😘 Would defo recommend, even if you just check it out in your time😇

Genuinely, love bites is so a record I hear in this. Poppy with still tick undertones than provide such a great bedrock for melodic progression and choris. It builds so well to what you expect to be a standard rock song, but becomes a ballad of operatic terms that allows for real appreciation

I do believe Tobias has said he was trying to make the Ghost version of Hysteria, production wise so I'm surprised you didn't hear some Leppard before now. The album is almost a road map of his influences. Oh and Def Leppard is probably lumped with hair metal now but it's a bit unfair. They existed during the era and indulged some, "Pour Some Sugar on Me" being an almost prototypical innuendo heavy hair metal song, but were more than that. Oh well.

Politics, religion, and music is something I do not like to argue about. Everyone has different tastes and opinions. Isn't it great we live here where we can have those differing thoughts. Just because you don't necessarily like music in major keys does not mean you have poor taste in music. Its just different from others. I strongly dislike the Beatles. Its unpopular and people have come after me about it. Who cares!? Keep up the great content! And this album is one of my favorites! Its been fun experiencing it with you for the first time! I really wish I could go back and experience it for the first time again!

So, after Griftwood, Bite of Passage is a short interlude that leads into Respite on the Spitalfields, so you'll probably want to do those two together, as well. After you've finished Impera, you really should check out all of the covers that Ghost has done, whether you've heard the originals or not. Tobias takes those songs and really makes them sound like Ghost songs. IIRC there are currently 13 covers if you count the live cover of Sympathy for the Devil he did with the Hellacopters while on some show. Also, I'm gonna say it again, but you should check out Nothing More if you haven't heard them. Tired of Winning, This is the Time, Turn It Up Like, Spirits - all great songs, as well as many others.

Since you brought it up, the hate for Ghost is always kind of funny. Like of course, they're not gonna be for everyone. But its always telling when someone tries to imply that Forge doesn't know anything about the genre. He's got plenty of interviews out there where he talks about so many of his influences, he's a big time student of the game. Its so ridiculous that anyone would try to imply otherwise about him. And its super evident in a lot of the music. No, Ghost isn't the heaviest band of all time, but 90% of their catalogue you can listen to a song and pick up on what metal bands were the influence to it.

Some of the songs I enjoy from them are... - White Death - The Final Solution - Saboteurs - Carolus Rex - Long Live The King And just so much more, I can't really list them all, but they're my other favorite band, Ghost and Sabaton, Megadeth is close up there, though. Not only are the songs good, but they have interesting things you can learn about the song topic, they have a website with the lyrics and historical fact for most the songs, a history channel, it's quite cool. Tobias has said he was modeling this album after Def Leppard's Pyromania which was a huge album at the time of it's release. Hair metal in the 80's would be like Poison, Warrent, Motley Crue, Ratt.....some say Def Leppard was but back in the day even though they had the hair metal look no one really considered them metal.
