The problem with this vid is that you started from an existing metal tune and tried to core it up. It would be better if you also tried starting from core tunes and changed it into various forms of metal.

Mens with that thinking need the metal, that bring a message of union, peace and symphaty between all the kinds of metallers; death, heavies, cores, alternatives, symphonics, cristians, satanics, etc. Together, the new generations may link together the metal subgenres in one mass of metal, and fight together against the true enemy: the junk pop and the reggeaton (Insert image of any politic idol here)

Honestly two of my favourite genres are Heavy Metal and Metalcore. Therefore I won't vote, I love both about the same. When I have bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Steel Panther etc. along with Killswitch Engage, All The Remains, Parkway Drive, Trivium, etc. to listen to, there is no way I can vote for one of these two genres over the other.

@jordan220
7 жыл бұрын
They had several thrash songs and a groove song. Besides, modern metalcore is more hardcore than metal. And how is it a narrow comparison? Metal is a massive genre of music, metalcore has a foot in each world of metal and hardcore, and to be perfectly honest the majority of metalcore bands have both feet in hardcore and sometimes stick their toes into metal, but that doesn't make them entirely metal or hardcore. Metalcore isn't metal, it isn't hardcore, it's a fusion and it's own genre.
@jordan220
7 жыл бұрын
And if you look at what defines metal music, metalcore shows very little comparison. "the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness" where as metal lacks distortion often times, completely erases solos, beats are often chugging, 0-0-0-0-0 and carbon copies of one another, and while metalcore can be loud, it often loses some of its power when you play it loudly. When I blast a metalcore song, the instruments often sound bashed together and out of place. That's just my opinion, but you see how metalcore doesn't fit into metal, nor does it fit into hardcore. It's just metalcore.
Metal is way heavier and more badass than metalcore. Metalcore fans always act like their shit is more hardcore but Cannibal Corpse makes them sound like prepubescent girls

TheUmbrellaCorpX7 And how many of those bands are still around today or going on strong? Very few. Metalcore's prevalence today depends heavily on the more popular, modern bands like Of Mice & Men and Issues to keep it going. I like metalcore but the bands quickly come and go. It's very rare for a band to last more than 5 or 6 years.
