The Love is Easy video is basically a love letter to McFly, with lots of references to their work and careers. Detailed them below in case you (or anyone else) doesn't know them as I feel they add to the video personally. - They references previous music videos with the background Danny and Harry pull on stage (Five Colours in her Hair), the golf cart (Obviously) and the toy packaging (Room on the Third Floor). - The award Danny is holding when whistling is their 2005 Brit award for Best Pop Act. Dougie is wearing a plant crown against a grass background in references to him winning, and therefore becoming King of the Jungle, on the reality show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2011. Harry is dancing and holding the glitter ball trophy from when he won Strictly Come Dancing (UK Dancing with the Stars) in 2011. - They then recreate the album covers for all their albums at the time- Room on the Third Floor, Wonderland, Motion in the Ocean, Radio:ACTIVE and Above the Noise And of all the the guys Dougie has definitely has the most different styles and eras of all the guys (which, considering he's the youngest and was only 15 starting out makes sense). He even had a purple hair and lip ring era

I love how you’re listening to this without prejudice. I keep telling my metal mates that power to play is one of the best pop rock records for decades. Unfortunately their past lighter records has just tainted views of them. Seeing them next month and can’t wait.

Party Girl contains clips from the terrible vampire short film they made No Where Left to Run. The film itself ends quite abruptly. It was actually a little bit bit after the Twilight and Vampire craze if I remember correctly. The DVD is probably still available somewhere. And Above the Noise, the album Party Girl is disliked by many of the fans and the guys themselves - they tried working with a different producer and it didn't come out how they had hoped, with them even going back to their previous producer to re-record parts of and remix some of the tracks. Dougie was also dealing with depression and addiction at the time and went into rehab a few months after the albums release, leading to then having to perform their third single from it several times on TV without him, with Tom playing bass.

@@Harri_James Yes it was that sad time when a lot pop/rock bands tried to switch to a more electro sound to surf on the current trend. So they did it to stay up on the charts, which in fact resulted in Above the Noise ending up being their least popular album and music that didn't feel like themselves. I think it was a very difficult transition time for them that lead to their long hiatus.

All the “photo shoots” were them recreating their album covers

As you said, it can be hard to categorise McFly. But this is very much a strength of the band. I've enjoyed the band from the early years and it's always good to see others discovering them :)
