This song is going to be killer live.

Some things are naturally deep eg the Marianas trench, the Grand canyon, BAND-MAID's well of creativity. What a fcken band Po 👍🍻

Saiki has developed into a top tier front woman! And let us all take a moment to thank Miku for her vision of this band! 🙏

Talking of vocal run, that ascending vocal run Saiki does in the 2nd verse sounds like the trill that I hear a lot in Indian/Islamic music I absolutely love. You hear her did that in Endless Story at Yokohama Arena but I this song she did it with hint of Islamic flair, or an I imagining it? And just after the first chorus there is a small part where a different instrument came in, probably Koto or sitar. I think you've noticed that because you raised your brows slightly. Am I right? In my opinion it has the strong middle eastern ethnic vibe and I absolutely love it whenever the Maids do something interesting or different.

It's so cool to get a song that really spotlights on Saiki. I think it's also a bit of the function of this being the end theme for a anime, the singer is usually more prominent in those. But still, her technical vocal work in those verses was just unreal!

Also noticeable is the level of Japanese reaction to this video premiere. Normally it's dominated by foreigners. Their year and a half of cultivating the home market is paying off. Japan is the second biggest music market in world. Also I believed they played this live the other night and it was wild according to one of those Japanese comments

The song is the ending of anime GRENDIZER U. it's a reboot of the animé UFO ROBO GRENDIZER from 1975 created by Go Nagaï and Tōei animation & fuji tv

It´s a good song, it fits perfect with the theme and the ambience of the anime. The girls are creating their own "anime" sound. Thank you!

One of Kanami's more slower old school solos

First Take is a Sony brand. Anything that doesn't benefit them won't appear. If the label were different, the wall would be even higher. There is a possibility that the label will accept the offer if it is expected to be profitable, but the terms will not be made public.　BAND-MAID does a lot of similar things in their live shows. In Japan, there is criticism that the first take is not a one-shot.

Only Sony and Warner acts as far as I've seen. Sony distribute Warner in Japan.

Sony, Avex, Toy's Factory, Amuse are some of the more aggressive labels that go after people. Some artists/labels PAY to be on First Take, I don't know if PC wants to do that and not have the rights to the rights to the First Take videos.... I believe when choosing the label they were moving to, Miku probably turned away from those labels because she knows how much reactors benefit the band.

Almost 11 years in, and they still haven't come close to reaching their creative ceiling. (I expect them to plateau somewhere around 2057).

Are you thinking of the "white room" videos? Those were with the deluxe editions of Conqueror ( Miku w/ tongue out version) and Unseen World. All of them are instrumentals, full band and also each individual member spotlight, I love the Miku only ones. "without holding back" can be found on YT.

Great reaction John. Band-Maid is a step above everyone else. BTW, I believe The First Take is only for artists signed by Sony. I could be wrong, but that is why Band-Maid and other artists have never been featured on the program.

Many non-Sony artists also appear in First Take. The project itself is Sony's, but they don't necessarily have to belong to Sony. I'm using a translator so sorry if my English is wrong.

I watched the anime a few days ago and found the opening song not strong enough, but this closing theme song by Band-Maid fits the anime so well and leaves such a strong impression! I thought Kanami and Miku knew exactly what was needed for an anime song.

What a wild assed video!!!!!! I can see why this banger is perfect for an action anime. I wonder what the BPM's are for this. They seem to rival "Black Hole". I understand that this anime series in popular in France. Thus, the ou la la la la la las. Hmmmmm!!!!!! Does this mean that Band-Maid may tour France late this summer or fall?

This song is so good, it reminds me of the Different/Shambles vein, but as stated below, it will probably never be on The First Take because of Sony. Is it Hitsujibungaku you saw on that? They are a really good band, very grunge/alternative. They did the ED for JJK More than Words, that's probably the song you are seeing, they just released a new ED for OSHI NO KO called Burning that kicks butt, Addiction is so good as well. Regal Lily another great band does the ED for Delicious in Dungeons called Twilight Ash. Both bands have been around for as long as Band Maid as well, I think audiences outside of Japan are starting to hear about a lot of great bands from Japan due to the rise in anime popularity.
