Betelguese is the one song i first listened to in first take

above all else, what i love most about Yuuri is his ability to tell a story with a song. from lyrics to music to his vocal choices and delivery; it all combines beautifully to tell the story.

Aaahhhhhhh.... Man, I love Yuuri so much. He has such an amazing voice!! If you don't know, He was a street performer, until Hiro from My first story (Taka's brother) introduced Yuuri into the big stage. Now Yuuri is a well known singer in Japan. He has a youtube channel where he has karaoke competitions, vlogs, and music videos. You said you wanted to see what his voice sounds like when he opens up? Watch the first take of Betelgeuse. It's my favorite one. Leo is also amazing. It is very emotional--from the perspective of a dog, which you wouldn't know unless someone told you. I love this home take, but it doesn't really do him justice if you don't watch any more of them. This is not the song for his voice tbh.

I love Yuuri's songs, thanks so much for reacting to him! I'd recommend starting with the First Take performances because they have lyric translations (Dry Flower is the sequel to Kakurenbo, then there's also Betelgeuse, Leo, Shutter). But my favorite song of his is called "Kagome," the piano version on his youtube channel is wonderful (sadly it doesn't have subtitles), but someone's released a good English translation video with subs (kzread.info/dash/bejne/amiuzsFtmJeWftI.html). "Peter Pan" is also one of my favorites, someone's made an English translation for the live version. The performances of him singing Leo with another famous Japanese singer, Tani Yuuki, are also great

Please react to more Yuuri :) I'm sure you would love all of his songs, be it ballads or the rock ones. He is truly an amazing artist. I don't know what it is about him... he gives off an old soul vibe. We don't see his kind much these days I feel.

YES I love Yuuri! One of my fav singers rn. I believe he was a busker previously? But yeah, it actually surprised me when I noticed his voice has a rasp when he goes all out. His control is insane. It goes to show how many years of effort and hardwork goes into it. Since most people are suggesting Betelgeuse (which i reccommend as well) , I suggest checking out Shutter, Leo and Till I ! Those three are my favorites. And speaking of rasp singers, I highly reccommend Kanade Izuru. You can check out his "Love me, Love me, Love me" cover for a start. Another insane singer.

Oohh.. never heard of this guy. But i like. As you said, he was very controlled.. but that it was also very apt for his interpretation. Ofc, i can also imagine a more raw and desperate interpretation of the lyrics which would also be awesome.
