They're only getting better. They're really establishing their sound now and I can only see them going up from here. Love it!
i feel like with every mini album they release they end up playing with a different sub genre of rock, its so cool to see
They did a cover of My Chemical Romance as well but THEIR MUSIC IS REALLY PICKING UP AND THEY'RE FINDING THEIR SOUND!
Heck yeah thank you so much for getting to this!!! They have a live performance for this was well if you wanna check it out. Also! They dropped an mv for "Pluto" today, just in case you wanna check that out as well. Take care ✌
Many KPop fans may not realize it, but with more Korean rock bands that play instruments signing under KPop labels, it's all coming back full circle to Seo Taiji, who is the father, inspiration & template of KPop. You have Xdinary Heroes, The Rose, Day6, CNBlue, FTIsland, etc, with some of them debuting over a decade ago & some recent. A few even signed on 2 decades ago, like SM Entertainment's Traxx (now defunct). Doesn't matter if any of them have already disbanded or not, they signed under a KPop affiliation. And I've said this before, but the big irony of the KPop Idol industry is that it became more pop, hiphop & R&B, instead of rock & metal, because Seo Taiji is first & foremost a metal & rock multi-instrumentalist, since the 1980's. Sure, some KPop songs have rock elements in them, but the point is having a KPop group that plays as a traditional instrument-playing band, not a dancing band. But KPop is forever evolving. Even now we are starting to see BTS with music instruments, although that isn't necessarily their forte because that was not what they primarily had to learn as idol trainees. But the hint of more music instruments in KPop is there too with BTS. Seo Taiji was also an early adopter of using computers & MIDI in the early 1990's, back when there were only Intel 486's, Apple Macintoshes (now called Classic Macs), Commodore Amigas & Atari ST's, of which the latter (Atari) was popular with musicians due to integrated MIDI. I think Taiji used the Macintosh for music composition in those earlier days. So, there is potential for KPop to phase in more instrument playing in future KPop generations & then perhaps KPop may one day look like the Jackson 5 & Prince, of which those 2 bands used the formfactor platform of singing + choreo + instruments. Right now, KPop has mainly been the formfactor of singing + dancing + pop, of which ironically too that was because of Seo Taiji, heh.
Pluto is amazing and i would recommend the NPOP live version over the m/v. There's also a track called Again? Again! which is very 2000s pop punk in sound.
If you like this you’ll love Pluto. It’s SO GOOD.
I know the whole point of the song is the whole "break the brake" thing but my favorite part is definitely the postchorus after the first chorus, and the solo(s) by Junhan. I'm always hoping that they'll give Junhan a really long, uninterrupted just real crazy rock solo. He's an INSANE guitarist and he deserves a long solo. I know they write pretty much all of their own music, but it's still up to the company on whether they can release it or not, and most Kpop songs are quite short, even the rock songs. But maybe one day we'll get like a 4 minute Xdinary Heroes song with a crazy Junhan solo 😆
Xdinary Heroes are one of my fave Korean groups... bands? And this song was so good. I'm happy to see other reactors loving them too.
