you can also jump to reach the middle ground for the extra chest and go further to reveal more genie lamps and gems when you get higher.

Thanks for the tips. I knew about the genie lamps on stage 2, but I skipped them because you have to make a few risky jumps lol. It's worth it if you want to maximize your score, but I was only aiming for 5 million in this run so I didn't bother. I also didn't want to pick up the food items at the start of stage 6 because getting fat changes the Iron Lizard. Makes it hard to hit the enemies that are sitting behind the sandbags at the top of the steps.

awesome dude, you should promote that you can play the game on the espxe emulator which is a ps1 emulator so your cpu runs the ps1 system, u can dl metal slug x and play it, along with practically every game ever made

What was stronger again? The flame shot or shotgun? Cuz they both seem especially strong compared to the other weapons. And the flame shot seems to do a bunch of hits to more durable targets per shot.

Can I ask you something? What's the Level for MS X on Steam's Normal difficulty? Because I can't destroy the UFOs during the last boss with one grenade: it takes 3? And that's the only roadblock I have.

+Kitbodee Siwaphirunthep (Xean) I haven't played the Steam version, but I would assume that it uses the arcade default settings (level 4). The black UFOs will always take three grenades to kill. During the first phase of the fight, he'll drop grey UFOs that will either take one grenades or three grenades to kill. I think which one you get is just random luck.

My strategy here is based on stockpiling grenades to try and kill the UFOs as soon as they spawn, and then clearing any stragglers with whatever weapon I get from the first phase of the fight. The UFOs can be unpredictable and very deadly if they get away.

+iconoclast575 Yeah, no kidding, especially if they do the "keep-away float" (moves same speed as you while just out of range). Is it more consistent to toss grenades at them from on the ground instead of the house, though? Feels like standing on the house makes the boss spawn more UFOs than shoot lightning. Sorry for all this, but I'm trying to get a 1cc on MSX. For some reason this is harder to do than 3 (Final boss randomness ftw)

I prefer to damage the boss on the ground until I feel like he's getting weak. That's when I'll get onto the roof and start throwing grenades. He'll start spawning black UFOs once he's low on health, so it's best to try and avoid that by burning through his last bit of health ASAP.

At the end of the first final boss (the little martian ship) you have two "Enemy Chaser" (the weapon with the C) and so the second part of the boss is easier. How do you predict this drop? I think that when the ship throw you 5 ufo's there's a possibility of a double drop (2 Big Heavy Machine Gun, 2 Big Rocket Launcer, 2 Laser or 2 Enemy Chaser). Tell me more please.

I don't know, I just assume it's random and I got lucky. The second pickup only gives you an extra 20 shots though. One weapon is enough to get through the next phase safely, but having some extra ammo definitely helps.

I really get good at the first phase but in the second phase when I wait for the Tank i die always. By the way i discover that the tank arrives after the mothership has received tot damage. I will continue to train me at the final boss. Thanks for the video iconoclast!

you can use action save in espxe to get better at other levels

I have a troubleshoot question, I have Metal Slug Collection PC, I use Xbox 360 controller, I can map button A & Y for Jump & Grenade, but these 2 buttons don't work in Metal Slug 1 to 5. Do you have the same problem?
