Dan Vasc is a Brazilian metal singer who used his years of vocal development to give this 250 year old song the power it craved. He has well over 200 videos out there covering a lot of different genres of music. His vocal range and vocal toolbox are incredible. This is the best version of this beloved song I am sure I will ever hear.

Dan's skills are incomparable. He sings everything from heavy metal, to folk, to opera. His covers of songs from the Witcher series are spell binding. His One Man Choir performance of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus is jaw dropping (he does all four parts in 24 voices). Honestly, everything he sings is worth listening to.

You are not the first person who was lost for words after listening to this version of “Amazing Grace” sung impeccably by Dan Vasc. He is a Brazilian artist and has the most incredible vocal talent. He has a huge catalogue of songs on his channel from opera, show music, ballads and heavy metal. Would be great if you could react to more of his epic songs, I am sure you would not be disappointed. 🙋🏼‍♀️ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love the fact that you played the video all the way through and gave this Spiritual the respect it deserves. I saw the emotion that it brought forth from you, I have watched many reactions to his incomparable rendition and most of the reactors and comments are the same. Utter reverence. "Voice is the only instrument made by God" From what I have read about Dan, he is a Christian man. The harmonica lends a Celtic feel to the cover. I am a devout Catholic and I have been to many Irish funerals, bagpipes usually play this Spiritual outside of the Church. I also happen to be a recovering alcoholic. This Spiritual (not religious), hits home for many, many of us in AA. Have a Blessed day. And, you have a new subscriber.

I love how raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected into what it is today. He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such respect, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. I FELT the presence of GOD!!! This is the absolute very BEST version of Amazing Grace that I've EVER heard in my ENTIRE life & I'm old (LOL). I'm so grateful you reacted to this. I've shared on a few videos my story. A couple months ago, I was in a very dark place. Living every day was a struggle. Somehow, I ended up on KZread and this came up as a suggestion. Let me tell you, I was sobbing uncontrollably by the end of the song. I had never felt so seen as the flawed human I am who is doing her best to make it to the next day. I'm not religious, but I felt like God had hugged my heart and filled me with a glimmer of hope. I now listen to all of Dan's stuff on here and Spotify and it's been a wonderful journey. Dan saved my life and I'll be forever grateful. As Dan says, have an epic day.

Your face said it all! Everyone is right - this man is incredible and having recently discovered him I now have to have a 'Dan Fix' every day! Still makes me cry and I can't tell you how many times I've listened to it, along with his other covers. Please check out 'Gethsemane' from 'Jesus Christ Superstar' (the musical) - it is the most convincing portrayal I have ever seen and whilst I appreciate some will point out it isn't necessarily 'accurate' in the biblical sense - Dan is a Christian and it didn't stop him doing it and it really is something to behold. He doesn't 'just sing' he 'lives' his performances and this demonstrates that beyond belief . . .

I love all Dan's stuff. His version of "I'll Make A Man Out of You" from Mulan is a good one, as is his duet with Violet Orlandi doing Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" (he also has a solo version bit the duet is best). He also covers Pavarotti, Simon & Garfunkel, Journey, Sabaton, Elvis ... you name it.

Dan's a pretty cool dude. I first discovered him over a year and a half ago via an original song he made for the opening of a weekly stream called Friday Night Tights. It hooked me into that show the first time I tuned in, and I haven't missed a show since. It hypes you up. My personal favorite from him is "I'll Make A Man Out of You" from Mulan, his Sabaton cover, and his "Angels We Have Heard on High" in which he sings in like 4 different languages. He also has a cool interview on a stream with Chrissie Mayr. It's good to see you back. It's been years, pretty much.

He has an incredible version of Angels We Have Heard on High and I'll Make a Man Out of You (from Mulan). Both are phenomenal!

That is the Power of Heavy Metal Music !

Absolutely beautiful his rendition is one of my top 2 favorites the other being Elvis. He knocked Elvis out of the number 1 spot for me to say that it has to be something special because I am a huge Elvis fan.

Since I first heard this song sixty some years ago it has been my favorite piece of religious music and my favorite version has been recorded in a large concert hall with great acoustics and about forty bagpipers going full blast. However, this is an amazing performance on so many levels and clearly has become one of my top three songs of any genre.

Its always makes me smile when I watch a reaction to this song and some one is struck speechless. You aren't the first and wont be the last. Hope you jump down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole.
