It left a bad taste in my mouth. I had been feeling so sorry for Big Boss up until that point. He was throughout the game so sad and yet so strong. Doing like the Boss said “the winner of this battle will face unending war”. Facing his dark and dangerous fate in the world’s forgotten battlefields in more and more difficult missions, only for me to realize the real Big Boss ripped me off and like a prancing coward went off to take it easy with his cigars and Triumph motorcycle while me and poor Punished Venom Snake were left to do his wet-work. Then it hit me: I am Punished Venom Snake, and I am my own Big Boss. Still I would have preferred to see Big Boss face his fate like a man.

Big Boss riding off on his Triumph at the beginning of the game is strong symbolism. At that point, the whole world already bought that Venom was Big Boss. It doesn't matter if Venom fails or wins at this point, Big Boss has already won.

I wish they made the bike an available vehicle in the main game :(

As much as I love Hayter, I really don't think he should have been the one to play Big Boss, since Big Boss and Solid Snake are two completely separate characters. I think Sutherland did a really good job portraying both Big Boss and Venom Snake; which is probably an unpopular opinion

Amazing how Ocelot went from looking younger than Snake to looking older than Snake.

he changed his face, then changed it back when he didn't need the fake identity anymore, that's alot of intense plastic surgery

@@rancorious7785 Konami wanted to rush the release date so a lot of the game had to be scrapped. It may technically not be “unfinished” but it’s nowhere near its full potential.
