So... Several Tanks(t-72) and helicopters(mi-24) can't defeat Sehalntropus... But one dude with rocket launcher and one uh- 60 destroed it... Game logic.

The mission where you rescue Quiet from the Soviets is harder than Sahelanthropus lol

You can tell how Sahelanthropus' impractical design (unnecessarily tall and too slow), which made it vulnerable to airstrikes and artillery, would later inspire the smaller & faster but still durable Metal Gears like Rex and the Ray units which would have utterly demolished Diamond Dogs forces if they existed

Why is Sahelanthropus making angry elephant sounds?

Even watching someone else play, this is still the most intense, epic boss fight I've ever seen. Even 5 years later, this is just a beauty to witness.

Like how miller says “I’ll rally Diamond dogs” and we’re all here expecting a massive army that you’ve built to aid you in defeating Sahlathripous same as in the cut mission 51 but all we get is a single support chopper. MGSV really needs to allow you to fight with DD soldiers I feel I’ve said this on loads of videos

The Metal Gear that makes the most sense from an engineering perspective is Peace Walker. Four legs provide more stability and terrain adaptability than two (and even then, it can change to a bipedal mode on the fly). It has the ability to emit a field that redirects RPGs and missles away from it. It has more than one way to tactically nuke a target: one by using it's standard delivery platform to launch a nuke like most MGs; two: by creeping into enemy territory and self-detonating by using the hydrogen bomb built into it as a failsafe. And lastly, it's governed by an AI that upholds the "Mutually Assured Destruction" principle of deterrence to ensure that no one (in a fit of paranoia or otherwise) can prematurely use it to nuke a country. If any Metal Gear was ahead of its time, it was that one.

Gotta hand it to Skull Face, man spent what could've been his last moments giving an evil boss monologue. Man's got his priorities straight.

I dont get why they couldnt just mae Sahelanthropus more "clunky" akin to zeke or even REX. This thing looks like it came right out of Metal gear Rising, specially the whip/sword thing that it uses.

Who else thought our soldiers would be fighting with us when Kaz said "I'll rally Diamond Dogs"?

MGR Raiden vs Sahelanthropus would be an anime-level fight.

How come Sahelanthropus which was built in the 80's seems so much more advanced than metal gear rex or ray which were built in the 20th century?
