    JinRoh1898 the boss was wrong though She thought that by giving the legacy back to the philosophers they would unite the word to become one nationless country Both bb and zero tried to do this but bb only managed to do this on a small scale (outer haven) and zero united the whole world under war not peace

  • @smallboss43

    @smallboss43

    Big Boss did not want to create a nationless country. He wanted to create a world where the will of nations could not override the will of the people, their liberty. Zero tried to create a world with one government, and therefore peace, but the AI network took a life of its own, and discovered that war was the only way to continuously extend their control. Neither understood the Boss's vision, but Big Boss realized in the end that trying to change the world like they did was exactly what put it at risk. The answer is loyalty to your own beliefs and respect for others that do the same, even if they are so different.

    Recently had my little brother play through this interactive movie. When Solid Snake put the gun into his mouth he looked at the screen dumbfounded and then dropped the controller when the gunshot rang out. He looked for me to console him and I merely said something along the lines of "A good soldier always completes his missions and his final mission was to eliminate himself. Truly a hero." Then about fifteen minutes later we cut to snake sweating and then I continued by saying "sike! Lets sit here for another half-hour and listen to Richard Doyle spout some closure."

    Oh my heart... Nobody will probably see this but I felt I needed to say this somewhere. I always heard about the greatness that was Metal Gear Solid. I never gave it a chance growing up because it was really odd and turned me off. Wasn't until the Phantom Pain came out when I was about 20 when I gave the series a chance and I'm so happy I did. I played them in chronological order, on the hardest difficulties, got as many codecs and secrets as I could, got all the plot twists and watched every minute of every cutscene. Careful not to skip anything. All the laughs, the tears, the anger, frustration, the wtf moments, the ups and downs and all arounds, the revelations, the lies, the times I felt manipulated, the triumphs made for one of my personal favorite video experiences ever. Seeing the entire series play out and seeing where it led to with the fight between Ocelot and Snake made me appreciate it that much more. Beating Ocelot down with the CQC I dedicated close to a year of my life to master and seeing all the references to previous titles during the fight made me tear like a little girl... Than getting to see Big Boss embrace Snake at the end and call him son at the grave of the hero herself, The Boss, made it all come together... Bravo Kojima.

Very cryptic stuff. Also there is an interview with kiefer talking about doing the motion capture and voice overs but the thing is every single time he talks about doing work in the game, he always refers to "this character". That is all he says when he refers to his role, he never says big boss or snake, he constantly refers to "this character", take a look for the video. that was also really strange that he never says snake or big boss.

    amazing videos i watched them all. Thank you so much! I love MGS but don't own a console, so being able to follow the story and game by a well edited proxy was super sweet.
