The thought put into it all is fantastic. Raiden is self-taught and mostly focuses on beating his opponents down with brute strength and overwhelming speed or combos. Sam is actually trained in traditional swordsmanship, and his style is pretty clearly based on iaido, which focuses on counterattacks and killing with a single well-timed strike. Even the different gameplay between the two reflects that.

@@EonArashi Then again Sam's fighting style which is a modified kenjutsu style based from Yagyu Munenori's sword style taught to him by his father focuses on the philosophy of brutalizing your opponents, which was true to his first fight with Raiden he was pretty much brute forcing him while Raiden became like this after he regained his will to kill. He's also skilled at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which is how he could still be on par with Raiden unarmed.

Actually, it was Doktor who suggested to overload the nanos by multiple blows so they wouldn’t have time to harden in response to physical trauma and to Zandatsu the core unit - the heart.

I love how Sam tries to comfort Wolf after his defeat, even saying "I am quite good, you know" to make it seem like less of a loss.

It's crazy how sam's only cybernetic upgrades was his right arm, everything else was literally just him

I love how Sam's fighting style is centered around laijutsu, completely different from Raiden's style. Both are incredible to behold, but mastering Sam's is just so satisfying

When armstrong say welcome aboard. He offer handshake with his right hand. When sam right hand is injured meaning he has no option but to accept it. This is simple and yet cruel detail that sam was forced to became something that he hates, thats why sam seems leaving his bike to raiden for a standoff

He wasn't forced into anything. Sam was free to go and didn't want to and attacked Steven again, that's how he accepted it and not the fact that he was amputated. If he had cut off the senator's head, then he wouldn't have had to accept anything. Just like Steven could have impaled Sam's head and didn't. After Sam's attack, it became a dispute of who wins and not of choice, because, as I said, Sam chose to stay. Steven's ideology is not one that preaches forced someone to do something. Codec has more than 6 hours, you can learn a lot about characters..

Love this dlc, but the VR missions are SO hard. Only thing that would make the DLC better is if they worked in a fight against Raiden. Make it a VR thing if you have to, just would have been a nice challenge.

Year late but Sam does have to repair the suit he's wearing but he has to do it through the sword, everytime he crushes the electrolytes he does it on the sword opposed to Raiden who just crushes it in his hand

its crazy at the end seeing armstrong and sam (kind of) getting along with each other by laughing

For bros who want to play DLC try this code in start menu : up up down down left right left right B A . In my opinion sam can win against arm strong if he aim for his torso in the last move. he may get one more punch, but that is not gonna hurt him so much.

Even if this game is from 2013 i noticed a little flaw in that scene at 2:39, Sam shoots his sword away with that one officer and when he turns around to the one next to him, he has it back in his sheath.

Mmm maybe you are using a special item? For example, I remember when I complete the game in hard mode I gain a wig that gave me infinite ammo if I use it, check in the cuatomization menu

Me too, enemies dont drop anything and boxes are empty. So cant progress from the place where u need a keycard that enemy drops to access elevator. I think its cos the game is cracked😂

@@foxbow3889 there are sites which you can download someone else's progression of the game. For example just type ( Metal Gear Rising 100% save file ) . Then you have to copy that file to the given folder and your progression is replaced with his progression. But it's good to have a copy of your own progression if it didn't work

@@sumpex_ yes actually. If you skipped the credits (aka closed the game when the credits were rolling) dont skip them. They're super long but trust me. If you didnt skip the credits then I cant help, because thats what fixed it for me (in the blade wolf dlc too)

Well I activate it with the konami code ⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️ BA or space and fight click if youre on pc Once you do that you presos the boton of history and there youll see the others campaigns

I can’t tell if he was trying harder to beat Sam or raiden
