In the MSX version, the Shotgunner says: "I'M SHOOT GUNNER !" apparently he had the time to learn how to spell his name right between that and the NES release lol

Man everyone complaining about them comparing the two versions of the game i dunno what you guys are complaining about it's interesting to hear how broken the NES game is compared to the original and the reasons they run the NES version because of it

I get what you're saying. But the vast majority of GDQ viewers have no idea what MSX even means, let alone all the reasons why the differences matter. That's why couch commentary for so many runs gets criticized, because no one wants to listen to 30 minutes of someone else's inside jokes.

@@hope_and_love Speedrunning is highly technical and even obscure information is critical to many run decisions. While putting things into laman's terms is a good skill for a couch to have, I think something as basic as "there are two distinct versions of this game, one on a much older and more obscure console" is something that any invested viewer in the Speedrun community can follow or look up on their own. If someone in the audience can't, and are unwilling to take just a few seconds to google "MSX", then I dunno what to say, man. That person just might not have the willingness or capacity to enjoy most speedrunning without either looking for games with very little technicality to them, or demanding that others over-explain every little thing while running in marathon.

I loved this game as a kid great speed run of metal gear for NES I gave you a like and a sub :)

I spent so many hours trying to beat this game when I was a kid, after shooting at least 1 hostage on accident...walking around with the transmitter in my bag, not using the enemy uniform

Who watching this in 2022??? Stone classic game, never figured out how to do anything in it myself. Pretty amazing to watch a real master do their thing.

I have a problem, after I need i let myself captured in the truck, i lost before I get the lvl 4 card, and now I dont know how to get to that part, if I enter again in to truck where they trow me to the cell, nobody comes, anyone know?

In the MSX version its less broken and harder to play through because pixels.
