Konami doesn't have what it takes to make a remake of Metal Gear and it is terrifying to think that Metal Gear Solid Delta could end badly or that they would decide to make a horrible sequel to Metal Gear Rising.

I know it’s fun to hate on Konami and all, but there has literally been nothing revealed to give off that impression. It looks like they’re doing their due diligence with Delta, I wouldn’t worry too much.

Delta literally just looks like Unreal Engine 5 MGS3. I don't see what there is to be excited about when we already have the original game and its rereleases easily acessible on just about any console.

Love that you used Red Alert from MG1 mixes so well with the theme of solid snake. Amazing work!

The theme of Solid Snake is still one of my favorite tracks of any video game- pretty much ever. This arrangement is just so good. Full of drama, intensity, and the same amount of hype. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Metal Gear 2 is on the top end of my favourite titles in the series. The pixel art doesn't age and the mechanics are still "solid" ;) I love rearranged versions of old game compositions because, while those originals still have a timeless magic, hearing these up to date takes really breathes more life into something that, while timeless, was limited by the technology of the time. I love this arrangement and even the alert phase hook from Metal Gear ties both titles together seamlessly. Great timing on the upload release with the Master Collection, helps remind us what came before Solid.

A glimpse of the long-awaited remake. Such a great story.

I wish the MSX titles were launched on the NES as they were, it would have been a legend as classics.

I heard it would’ve been impossible to fully recreate Metal Gear 1, let alone Metal Gear 2 on NES hardware. I have heard someone propose bundling both games onto a SNES cartridge (that probably could’ve worked?).

It's interesting, Metal Gear 2 is a game that feels like it deserves the title "Metal Gear Solid 0" since it created the framework for the original PSX release despite operating on the 8-bit MSX system. This theme really sells me on the prospect of a full 3-D remake since the events in Zanzibar has a lot of bearing in future entries.

Played Metal Gear 2 and I have to say that it is by far the best despite the pixels. Clouded by Metal Gear Solid 2 for its similar title names, if a remake happens MGS2 would be long forgotten.

This remix is unbelievably amazing, its like something Konami would use for an official remake of MG1 & 2... Hope to God that it happens by 2030 Also, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake came out in 1990, not 1987- That's Metal Gear 1.

Red Alert being spliced in there took me by surprise. Nicely done.

I'm sure folks have said so already, but this rendition deserves to be officially recognized. It hits every part of the original theme perfectly, with the added bonus of having some of MG1's dna organically woven into the composition. The part at 1:48 is especially good, my favorite part of the original MG2 theme, and does it 110% justice. I salute you sir. My only complain is I want the part at 1:48 and onwards to be longer!
