Does slapping practice on boobies and buttcheeks count? Seriously though, I need to do this fundamental practicing with my feet, that timing/ coordination is WAY worst than my hands.

I'm originally a guitarist, but sometimes I just sit down to my brother's drum set and play songs, or just try something i saw in your videos. Or just for fun. I need to do this kind of things on guitar, beacuse i want to be a great (maybe the best) guitarist in Hungary. So thats it.
That final second caught me totally off guard

I love your technique, full wrist hits so much better
I think this might be the one and only short that I like on KZread.
This is a great exercise for all drum types. I can keep up until 16th notes, I am not at that quality, consistency and speed yet 😆 Thanks for posting 🤘
That's the classic Derek Roddy exercise! 🐍

EETUU!!!!!
We get it! You're the final boss. Sheesh.
I practiced the last word and im loving it each day
Love this exercise, I saw it in Derek Roddys Evolution of Blast beats, and it fucking works lol. Literally this, then same with feet, then in unison. Improve speed and stamina and has been my go speed/blast beat advice when I talk to people. Glad to see you doing and showing it to more people ☺️☺️
I trust this man's advice just from the hair alone.
You know it's gonna be a great day when a warm up exercise puts a smile on your face.
I remember finding this exercise by Derek Roddy a long time ago. It's great. I love your videos, man keep up the good work.
I enjoyed taking ‘roll strolls’ when I marched competitively. It’s either a duple or triplet based roll, while marching around the football field track for a mile. Or.. just set a timer for ten minutes and see if you can play a clean, eviscerating, saw you in half roll without any dirt in there. :)
Bro the text at the end 💀
Great practice pad choice. Less rebound = more gain.
Just started drumming again after about 7 years. It definitely is fun. It’s brings me joy.
simples rápido prático e sem frescura...assim como deve ser
i'm developing carpal tunnel syndrome just watching😂
I've been doing this same exact exercise for years, and I've never seen anyone else do it. Builds speed for sure!
First time I see Samus so calm and collected.

Warm up is very important. Many gigs i played were those 4-7 band shows with hardly anytime to warm up. Didnt bother me in my 20's....but it catches up to you later in life. My joints are a mess...moral of the story. Kids....... Follow this mans instructions AND have fun. Well done my friend, you are amazing. 🤘
DRUMMING IS FUN his smile always makes me happy I'm part of the drumming community, it's so rare to meet assholes everyone is always so nice haha
Your a badass. Straight up.
damn bro I needa practice my singles
ok 10 times watching this is enough. it's mesmerising for some reason. I aspire to grow my hair this long. I've been growing since before the pandemic and it's not even half this long . another 4 years should do it
I used to take drum lessons. I'd completely forgotten how much it used to kill my forearms... until I watched this video. I can feel the burn just by watching this. It gets less severe over time, in part because the muscles get stronger and also the muscle memory develops to more efficiently use the rebound energy. But I didn't practice enough.
I've watched quite a few of your videos and you're a master at the drums. You deserve to be filthy rich. Insanely good!

lmfao, that is very nice of you to say dude!!!
THANK YUUURR🔥✨😅
I'm learning drums and it's been tough finding solid tips on playing metal. This is super helpful.
When I was a music instructor I encouraged them to add accents! I also think it makes it way more fun. Straight up rudiments can get tiresome quickly. You can use this for way more than just wanting up metal! Love your content Samus!
Id guess you usually do 11 different patterns for 2 minutes each just to practice for 22 minutes in total 😆
"Sex" *I felt that* 🗿🍷
Its vids like these that make me wanna dust off my old drum kit again
Was low key vibing hard when the short replayed
Making practice fun is the best way to actually want to practice
I remember when I was on drumline in middle and high school early 00s we had an extremely similar warmup, we called it Eighths. Basically what you did here, 8L 8R x2, then did 16th notes and also included paradiddles, flams, flamadiddles. Good times.
you rock ass at drums and have an awesome beard/hair combo - you are becoming one of my favorites hella fast

@@66Samus no problem man - much deserved - I really like you use electric because you are showing what’s possible with them- especially the technical hard hitting double bass and ungodly fast fills - I started to love drums just building the damn electric sets so my playing ability is far behind the knowledge of how they work - if that makes sense - I just built a kit so we practicing. I am going to go and do what you did and get a complete double bass setup instead of the dual pedal - I can’t get the triggering right for some reason
I can hear my tinnitus change pitch everytime you switch hands on the 8 counts
I'll buy my first drumset next month, i want to do jazz music but this will help me a lot 🤘😄
Love that look at the end He’s having a blast
I'm a lifelong musician who is just now introducing drums. The amount that it's helping my song writing can not be overstated. It's changing my music big time
And then the rehearsal begins and you're totally exhausted :')
New to this channel but I like your style, put a comedy twist to some serious drumming.. keep up the good work my friend!!

thank you so much!!
This is amazing! Using a moongel practice pad too! Holy moly
Good things to practice too are keeping your tasset hand steady and low so it’s ready to play. If you’re already playing well but you want to be even just a little faster, being more efficient with where your hands are in between stuff make a huge difference.
I like that drum pad, never seen one before now. Great exercise, thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill.
A good drummer is a treasure. I had my own band when I was a teenager and I had a really badass drummer but she nearly died from a speed overdose and we haven't played together since.
this man is prolly a God at taiko no tatsujin
I don't know if it's been said before, but you remind me of a metal Weird Al, which to me is a compliment! Keep banging, man!

I was waiting for the OH YURRR at the end. You had the face on, but I was let down. Great work!! I’m going to try this out to improve my left hand and get it up to speed.
I use my practice pad as a temple for getting in the zone. I love noodling, metronomic practice, anything and everything that has to do with the drums! 🤘😈🤘
As a guitar player, I'm buying a practice pad tomorrow cuz this looks like fun!!! Plus it'll probably make me a better guitarist.
Inspired me to buy a 70 dollar drum pad and a bunch of drumsticks. I haven't drummed since 5th and 6th grade, I'm 25 now but been wanting to get back into it for years. Thanks for the inspiration, man.

Your transitions are smooth. Your humor is worth it. Your teaching is what I needed :P
Dude I love you look very playful you have fun drumming it’s not a job or a chore it is something you want to take time to do and it shows
Love your shirt!! I knew there was more to why I like you than your drumming talent!
I appreciate everything about this human.
Saw derek roddy do a similar warm up back in the day but he would incorporate syncopated feet patterns on the offbeats. Works a treat
this will forever autofill in my head whenever i use my turn signal
Love the shirt, and great job!
Perfect stick work
My forearms cramped from watching this
You've been a huge help , ty
I’m a drummer for jazz band and u really helped me get better😂
yo this is legit so freaking dope dude such a good job so inspiring got me wanting to jump on my kit
I grew up with Ben Graves from The Murder Dolls. He practiced just like this back in the day RIP buddy
Sure wish I knew how to drum. You make it seem so fun
I can tell his hand work crazy
this guy will be beating the drums of Valhalla in the next life
Singles are my bane , I've spent years chasing clean doubles, and havent spent enough time on singles. Your wrists are freaking amazing ! You inspire me, thanks, bro!
Ahh yes Derek Roddy had a foot exercise like this that I did religiously. Such a great exercise!
I played drums decades ago before switching to guitar. Those warm up exercises make wrist and forearms hurt just watching
I miss drumming so much. 😢 this lit my little soul up for a second. ❤
You would have made a badass Band teacher
