When Alex Rudinger (Intronaut, Whitechapel) and Ash Pearson (Revocation) realized that they’ve both filled in for each other’s bands - and that they were both going to be at Drumeo at the same time - it was a prime opportunity to play through a song they both knew.
This is “Pangloss” by Intronaut, with the original drum parts written by Alex. In the video you’ll see them trade off in some sections and come together perfectly, in sync, in others. There’s a ton of energy in the room as they play through this heavy tune.

Yes drumeo..i jam with matt halperns playthrough for reptile...thats what keeps playing on the computer screen and i air drum and play the snare hits on my practice pad..sadly dont have drumkit yet.btw..great video..thank you for some metal

Intronaut’s music in drumeo..simply love it
Ash is one of my top drummers to watch. Love when he covers anything Faith No More, Patton related. His playthrough of Hollywood Squares is badass.
I didn't see any battle, just two good drummers playing the same stuff in sinc with the song and each other. It was cool though, very tight.

Both drummers sound great. Great attack, distinct percussive sound, and well placed appropriate rhythms that compliment the music.
How come i´ve missed this one, 2 of my favourite drummers in metal atm. This was just pure epicness, so god damn tight!
They picked the perfect parts to be in sync. That light flamming between them makes those parts sound so much bigger. Brutal! Wooooo!

Had no idea that the drummer for Intronaut was also the drummer for Whitechapel. Love all 3 bands, and who recommend everyone here to go listen to them (band names in the description). This was such a groovy metal track, and just shows how in-sync and humble they play together.

Go to Alex's KZread channel and watch him. He is one of the absolute tightest, funnest drummers to watch. I got to see him years ago playing with The Faceless, he can play anything good.
