Metal Detecting UK | Amazing Finds On A Medieval Church Site
In this weeks episode myself and Mr Tweed have gone on tour! We have travelled a few hours up the road to see Greg who has kindly invited us on one of his permissions.
Greg has had some amazing bits from this field before and there was once a 13th Century church right in the filed we are detecting in.
Will we find something associated with the church? Will Mr Tweed get another hammered? Hit play and come along for the day while we brave the cold wind of Autumn time in the beautiful English countryside.
Feel like I have earned a donation? Everyone that can donate will get a special mention in my next video to say thank you..., Please remember, its not expected but it is very much welcome.

Let’s go, let’s go treasure and adventure💕🌺👵✌️
What a glorious field! Excellent and plentiful finds for all. Thinking older than medieval with the decorations, but maybe a strap end for Mr. Tweed. A small cut or scrape will determine lead easily since it is so soft. Super video and loved the pictures of cleaned up items. That is the kind of day one doesn't want to end.
wow Michael great field nice weather good friends ,and cracking finds does not get any better thanks again cheers
Now that’s a great field😁👍 Well done, great video again.
Love it❤
Great looking field Michael in Suffolk you all done well on finds
Looks like I'm late to the party as this video came out 2 days ago. However, I was out doing some gold prospecting here in British Columbia. Canada is such a young country I would never find an 11th century hammered half penny. You are really lucky, that would be the find of a life time here.😊 Liked your new intro with the drone footage. Top notch work there. Really enjoyed going along with you for your finds. Great work!!
It was a good day detecting 👍
Some great finds Michael, i think you have built a big enough community to consider putting on a dig maybe next year (could be for Charity etc) and invite a bunch of subscribers down for the day (wherever that may be) i would be up for that for sure, to come and meet the man, the myth, legend haha, P.S still using the stubpro programme on my D2 its a great programme hoovering the signals up
Wow very good finds young people .Great video work. Deus 11all the way. Ps i found a viccy 4 Pence silver some time ago. From rainy Cornwall 😮
Fab hunt matey, and some superb stuff coming up... Boy Bishop tokens are pretty fascinating, (and Alex Holzhammer has done 1 or 2 chats about them). I'll try my hand at an explanation tho' (to go along with Greg's one here...): In Medieval times, (dates unsure), the churches, (in 1 or 2 small/specific regions), would nominate a young boy for an annual festival/ceremony. This 'Boy Bishop' would be given a big bunch of tokens (of typical coin denominations), to hand out to the general public. - So I guess it's almost like an early form of a Maundy money vibe?... But yes, ruff explanation, but I'm sure Alex would happily point you in the right direction... 🙏🏻 While I'm on: Video productions still going great - tho' I've noticed you're having a few problems with auto-focus 'racking'. Might be able to help here if ya like Michael? Are you using a DSLR camera, or Smartphone? Let me know which models if ya like? (or which App if it's a Smartphone), and I might have 1 or 2 hot tips for you... Anyways, great stuff again, and lovely detecting here Michael... Ttfn, Bobby 🐭
The thing at 9 minutes looks like a modern watch strap clasp.
The item 9 minutes in is a medieval clasp buckle.
Great video and finds God bless! From US Ct
